Job title: Research assistantLocation: Albuquerque, New MexicoTime frame: April &ndash; August 2026 (approximately 16-20 weeks)Appointment type: Part timeWorkdays: Monday &ndash; Saturday, 9am &ndash; 1pm (hours per day may vary depending on clinic schedules)Compensation: $25/hourJob overview:Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH) is seeking a research assistant (RA) to recruit patients to participate in a study. The RA will approach patients in an abortion clinic waiting room Monday &ndash; Friday for approximately 12 weeks between April &ndash; August 2026. The RA will approach abortion patients and ask if they are interested in participating in the 20-minute study about reproductive health. The RA will explain study participation and answer any questions about informed consent; track participants on a recruitment log; conduct short, structured interviews with participants; and enter clinical data into a database.ANSIRH is a collaborative research group at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and a program of the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health committed to building and supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace. ANSIRH conducts innovative, rigorous, multidisciplinary research on complex issues related to people&rsquo;s sexual and reproductive lives and envisions a world in which all people have the resources, support, and freedom to achieve reproductive well-being.Duties include:<ul><li>Approaching patients in the clinic waiting room</li><li>Explaining the study to participants and answering their questions</li><li>Maintaining a detailed study log</li><li>Conducting a short verbal assessment and interview with participants</li><li>Providing support as participants complete self-guided surveys on an iPad</li><li>Entering clinical data into a REDCap database for each participant at the end of the day</li></ul>Preferred qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in any field, or relevant education and experience</li><li>Comfort with interacting with patients in an abortion clinic waiting room</li><li>Comfort working in an environment in which abortion is discussed regularly</li><li>Basic research skills, including experience obtaining informed consent and tracking study participants and study IDs</li><li>Fluency in English and Spanish</li></ul>To apply, complete this Qualtrics survey: https://ucsf.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9zDPuuomTBoKEIuPay: $25.00 per hourWork Location: In person
