Job Description:<ul><li>Practices autonomously in accordance with professional nursing standards and departmental protocols, assessing, interpreting, and reporting diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition.</li><li>Administers and calculates medications, monitoring patient responses according to protocols.</li><li>Conducts comprehensive patient assessments and documents findings accurately.</li><li>Provides emergency care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.</li><li>Transports patients safely, remaining alert to hazards and using radio communications effectively.</li><li>Obtains nursing histories and evaluates age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms.</li><li>Develops and modifies individualized care plans, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.</li><li>Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.</li><li>Educates patients and families on care plans and health management.</li><li>Communicates patient updates to physicians and other healthcare providers.</li><li>Maintains proficiency in the use of department systems and equipment.</li><li>Supervises and coordinates patient transfers and transport logistics.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><div>

<ul><li>Ability to effectively deliver patient care while in transport via the confined spaces and unique environment of specialty care ambulance, rotor wing aircraft, and fixed wing aircraft [Required]</li><li>Critical care nursing knowledge [Required]</li><li>Basic computer skills, with the ability to navigate Microsoft Windows based programs [Required]</li><li>Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise the plan of care according to patient outcomes [Required]</li><li>Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems [Preferred]</li></ul>

Job Description:
Performs and documents accurate initial and ongoing patient assessments, including physical and mental status, and reports appropriate information to the responsible physician. Observes and monitors patient lab work for trends, reports abnormal lab tests, and obtains appropriate interventions. Utilizes clinical data to implement appropriate interventions and documents the plan of care involving the patient, family, and/or significant other. Demonstrates critical-thinking skills when analyzing cardiac rhythms and provides safe, competent care. Provides individualized goal-directed nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of nursing care. Prepares patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries ordered, ensuring proper documentation and communication. Administers medications accurately and appropriately, including PO, SQ, IV, IV PUSH, IVPB, IM, SL, PR, topical, and intradermal. Responds and participates in unit and hospital code situations, utilizing knowledge and experience to treat patients according to BLS and ACLS protocols. Provides competent and compassionate care to patients with pain according to policy and mission. Maintains a safe patient care environment, including following fall risk specifications and ensuring proper use of restraints. Supervises and guides permanent and temporary nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care outcomes. Communicates patient updates to physicians and receiving units, ensuring timely and accurate documentation for patient handoff and safety.
