Adventure Land Learning Center

<div>Summary 
 
Create a caring and safe learning environment for children. Must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Assist the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents. Observe and document children's interests and progress and communicating with parents. Teachers are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children&rsquo;s interests and needs. 
 
Duties 
 
<ul><li>Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practice and early learning standards that actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.</li><li>Actively engage in activities, manage cleanliness, and</li></ul>
communicate the availability of classroom materials. 
<ul><li>Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal</li></ul>
discussions and Parent Engagement app.
 
<ul><li>Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling</li><li>Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare</li></ul>
center 
<ul><li>Follow all center policies and state regulations</li><li>Maintain accurate records and forms</li><li>Work towards an Early Childhood Education Certificate within 5 years (Scholarships are available)</li></ul> 

Requirements 
 
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills 
A strong understanding of child development 
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills 
Infant/child CPR and First-Aid certification 
Must clear full background check 
Must pass health screening (TB) 
Provide Washington State Food Handlers certification 
Provide proof of MMR vaccine 
Provide High School diploma or GED
