Summary of Essential Job Functions:<br>
<ul><li>Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including installing braces, adjusting wires, and placing aligners.</li><li>Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment.</li><li>Fabricate and fit orthodontic appliances, such as retainers and space maintainers, under the orthodontist's direction.</li><li>Remove braces, wires, and bands as needed.</li><li>Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment progress.</li><li>Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques specific to orthodontic care.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in each operatory.</li><li>Prepare tray setups for orthodontic procedures and ensure proper supply management.</li><li>Instruct patients on general oral health care, as directed by the orthodontist.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, and Dental Board requirements.</li><li>Record patient charting and update records as needed.</li><li>Take digital x-rays for treatment assessment.</li><li>Assist in managing and maintaining the orthodontic supply inventory.</li><li>Stay current with advancements in orthodontics and maintain required certifications.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div>

Knowledge and Skills:<br>
