We have generous paid time off including 3 weeks vacation (years 1 to 5 after 5 years 4 weeks ). 12 Sick /Medical days and 12 holidays a year.Work is currently being performed in a mix of home, in the field covering some of the counties in Northeast Ohio. and the office in Cleveland/Highland Hills.Who We Are:APSI (Advocacy &amp; Protective Services, Inc.) is a statewide, private, non-profit agency dedicated to protecting the rights of Ohioans, age 18 or older with developmental disabilities by providing a full array of guardianship and protective services to individuals. We advocate for individuals with the highest level of needs, primarily through person only guardianship and by helping to make their desires and needs known. As a guardian, APSI has the authority to make decisions of a personal nature on behalf of the individual including medical and dental treatment, adverse interventions &amp; strategies, work, residential placement and quality of life decisions.Position Insight:The Case Manager = Protective Services Representative (PSR) acts as case manager in the Cleveland area. PSR's provide daily and crisis support to persons represented by APSI through guardianship, protectorship, conservatorship, and trustee services. The PSR provides advocacy, informed consent, and decision-making to achieve outcomes that support each person&rsquo;s best interest balanced with health, safety, and welfare needs and for supports APSI services in a manner consistent with APSI Mission, Vision, and Values. The PSR may assist in developing and providing organizational tools and assists in the overall achievement of APSI Strategic Plan goals and objectives. This position does not provide direct services except for protective services.Experience and Requirements:<ul><li>Experience with and knowledge of court appointed guardianship requirements, developmental disabilities, Medicaid and waivers, county boards, community housing, social, human, and mental health services is preferred but not required</li><li>Experience working with persons in crisis is preferred but not required</li><li>Experience providing or accessing vocational and community resources is preferred but not required</li><li>Passion for the programs and services provided by APSI</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to strengths-based approaches to service delivery, principles of self-determination and person-centered planning</li><li>Ability to work effectively and efficiently in an open and diverse work place</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Professionalism in attitude and presentation</li><li>Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and initiatives at the same time</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines</li><li>Proficiency with various technology applications including Excel, Word and electronic management databases</li><li>Must have reliable transportation</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in social services, non-for-profit management, or related field preferred.
