What is the Opportunity?</b></div>

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Electrical Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing and purchasing of electrical components and equipment. This role is critical in ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement while maintaining high-quality standards and supplier relationships.</div><br>

This position will be based out of our office in Port Huron, Michigan.</div><div><br>

What You&rsquo;ll Do Here:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Develop and execute procurement strategies to secure high-quality materials, equipment, and services for EPC projects.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and align procurement activities with project timelines.</li>
<li>Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers of electrical materials and components.</li>
<li>Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements for the company.</li>
<li>Ensure timely procurement of products according to project timelines and budget requirements.</li>
<li>Develop and manage vendor relationships, ensuring supplier performance meets company and project standards.</li>
<li>Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and procurement reports.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.</li></ul><br>

<b>What You Bring to the Team:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, preferably within the electrical or construction industry.</li>
<li>Previous experience working on major projects with procurements spend greater than $5M an asset.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of electrical components, systems and supply markets.</li>
<li>Excellent negotiation, communication and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in ERP Systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><br>

What is the Opportunity?</b></div>

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Junior Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting our Utilities Procurement team in all purchasing related activities. This person will also ensure the timely receipt of goods in SAP, as well as tracking deliveries and return of rental equipment. This position acts as a liaison between offices and field workers and must possess strong knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.</div><br>

<ul><li>Facilitate the onboarding and account setup process for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and timely activation.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Confirm purchase quantities and pricing with vendor</li></ul>
<ul><li>Adherence to Aecon preferred supplier sourcing footprint</li></ul>
<ul><li>Accountable for driving toward a zero exception procure to pay process.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Real time resolution of price, delivery, account assignment, material and service-related exceptions</li></ul>
<ul><li>Clear open commitments and close Purchase orders as required</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintains and organizes all related filing systems</li></ul>
