A Billing and Coding Specialist is responsible for auditing and coding medical encounters to insurance companies and payers such as Medicare. It is a position that is critical for the financial cycle of all health care providers. It requires attention to detail and experience with the electronic and paper systems used in medical billing.JOB DUTIES:<ul><li>Responsible for properly auditing and inputting ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes into billing software and submitting an accurate claim.</li><li>Handles any claim denials in an efficient and timely manner</li><li>Keeps open communication with team and provider regarding billing concerns.
