TITLE: Senior Analyst, ETRM &amp; Position Reporting
LOCATION: Houston, TX

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and lead Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system implementation and reporting, leveraging Allegro to manage renewable energy assets across multiple markets, including CAISO, WECC, ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, NYISO, and ISONE; Analyze and report power, capacity, REC, and ancillary positions for renewable assets, collaborating with Structuring, Risk and Commercial teams to support valuation and trading strategies; Develop and maintain position reporting frameworks to quantify notional exposures, production weighted forward curves, and market risk assessments for renewable portfolios; Create analytical reports to highlight volumetric, basis, and shape risks associated with renewable assets and contracts, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives; Support reconciliation and comparative analysis of budget, forecast, and actual financial performance related to energy trading positions: Collaborate with risk management, commercial, and trading teams to provide insights;
QUALIFICATIONS:
Job requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field) or a related field and 1 year of experience in any occupation involving energy trading, risk management, data analysis and system implementation.
Job requires 1 year of experience in each of the following:<ul><li>
Energy Market Knowledge &ndash; Understanding of ISO/RTO power markets (CAISO, ERCOT, PJM,MISO, SPP, NYISO, ISONE, WECC), including trading mechanisms and renewable energy products (Power, RECs, Capacity);</li><li>
Data Analysis &amp; Reporting &ndash; Proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel VBA, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) for data processing, market analysis, and reporting automation;</li><li>
Financial &amp; Risk Modeling &ndash; Ability to develop and interpret models related to forward curves, risk exposure, and asset valuation;</li><li>
Experience in constructing pricing scalars and market simulations;</li><li>
Portfolio &amp; Position Reporting &ndash; Experience inbuilding structured reports to track trading positions, volumetric exposure, P&amp;L reconciliation, and notional/block-equivalent risk analysis;</li><li>
Forecasting &amp; Reconciliation &ndash; Ability to perform comparative analysis of budget, forecast, and actual financial performance of trading positions;</li><li>
ETRM Systems &amp; Trade Capture &ndash; Experience with Energy Trading and Risk Management platforms such as Allegro, Endur, or similar systems for position tracking and reporting;</li><li>
Regulatory &amp; Compliance &ndash; Familiarity with FERC, ISO/RTO market rules, renewable energy contracts (PPAs, hedges), and risk management principles;</li><li>
Commercial &amp; Trading Support &ndash;Understanding of structured transactions, hedging strategies, and interactions between commercial, structuring, and risk teams.</li></ul>

The AES Cyber Security Team is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer responsible for assisting in the maintenance and improvement of incident readiness and response efforts to defend our cloud environment. The individual in this position will work as a member of the Cyber Defense organization responsible for a variety of cybersecurity functions utilizing their understanding of cyber security practices and technologies.
The candidate should demonstrate the ability to conduct incident response activities with a focus on cloud platforms, recommend improvements to increase incident readiness posture, and design and document security playbooks and technical documentation to assist in maturing of the wider cloud security programs.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents across the organization offering subject matter expertise in cloud security related incidents.</li><li>
Assist in the hands-on configuration, operation, monitoring, and continuous tuning of the Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP).</li><li>
Create and maintain cloud security playbooks to include security automation, policy tuning, and incident response. Assist in the connection of cloud security tools with other threat and vulnerability management initiatives.</li><li>
Research, design, and test known tactics, techniques, and procedures used in cloud security attacks to validate effectiveness of security controls across the cloud environment.</li><li>
Assist in the approval and onboarding of new Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions in use by the organization. Ensure security controls are applied to new and existing SaaS solutions.</li></ul>
Required Skills:
<ul><li>3+ years of cyber security, systems administration, networking and/or cloud engineering experience.</li><li>
Excellent knowledge of the incident response process with experience in identifying, containing, and responding to cloud security incidents.</li><li>
Expert knowledge of enterprise-grade security technologies and capabilities (e.g. SIEM, DLP, EDR, IPS, Firewalls, Web Security, etc.)</li><li>
Strong knowledge of cloud security operations including tuning of logging and monitoring, Identity Access Management (IAM), and network security best practices.</li><li>
Hands-on experience configuring, managing, and operating Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and/or Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) tools such as Prisma Cloud, Orca, Wiz, SentinelOne, Palo Alto, Tenable Cloud, or similar technologies.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including proficiency in English.</li><li>
Ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.</li></ul>

Prior experience with red or purple team exercises in the scope of cloud assets and technologies.</li><li>

AES CE is an established and rapidly growing renewable energy company headquartered in Salt Lake City. The AES Operations team is looking for an experienced Solar Technician II with field experience, this individual would play a pivotal role in ensuring that AES CE operates the portfolio to standards that exceed industry best-practice. This role will be based at sites located at the Bellefield Solar project in Mojave, CA. Candidates must live in the general Lancaster/Mojave/Tehachapi area in California and be able to commute daily to the site using their own transportation.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>
Responsible for assigned O&amp;M activities associated with the solar PV sites and substations associated with the utility-scale Solar Energy Plants located in Southern California. Primary sites are located in Kern County, Antelope Valley area located in Los Angeles County, and Victor Valley area in San Bernardino.</li><li>
Performs/assists with corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which they are qualified to safely and efficiently perform for equipment including but not limited to installed Inverters (SMA, Advanced Energy , Power Electronics, EATON, TMEIC, SunGrow, and Solectria), Trackers (NEXTracker &amp; ATI), Combiner Boxes, PV Modules, DC Collection equipment and systems, AC Collection and Distribution equipment and systems,</li><li>
Performs/assists with routine maintenance work (electrical repair, instrumentation, calibration and basic Inverter troubleshooting), up to their capabilities, as assigned and/or advised by supervisor and work orders from the maintenance management system.</li><li>
Prepares and implements switching and clearance orders.</li><li>
Operates electrical and mechanical power plant systems.</li><li>
Participates in training as required.</li><li>
Performs/assists with technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power plant.</li><li>
May assist with site vegetation management plans including running tractors, riding mowers, and other vegetation maintenance equipment.</li><li>
Writes/assists with Plant Orders, Plant Procedures, Operating Instructions and other documents as assigned.</li><li>
Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements.</li><li>

Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals (single craft journeyman skills) such as electrical measurements, control circuits, and electrical theory application</li><li>
Basic knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and associated control devices installed in power facilities</li><li>
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 10 and NFPA 70e Certifications</li><li>
Knowledge of NFPA 855</li></ul> 
Working Conditions:<ul><li>
Working outside in a normal solar power plant and/or office environment, including high/low ambient temperatures and high/low humidity areas, and possibly working at heights.</li><li>
Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment.</li><li>
Requires use of wear personal protective safety equipment (respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, etc.).</li><li>
May be required to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials and chemicals.</li><li>
Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.</li><li>

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $35.00 and $42.07/per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes annual bonus.
