We are committed to supporting your professional growth in a collaborative environment that values enthusiasm, precision, and compassionate care.Duties<ul><li>Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental examinations to inform treatment planning.</li><li>Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of maintaining healthy habits.</li><li>Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.</li><li>Capture and review medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Open Dental</li><li>Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient health information and prevent cross-contamination.</li><li>Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical coding, documentation review, and medical records management.</li><li>Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to deliver comprehensive general dentistry services tailored to pediatric dentistry needs when applicable.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.</li><li>Proven experience working in dental clinics or offices with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.</li><li>Proficiency in EMR systems such as Open Dental for documentation and record keeping.</li><li>Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging practices.</li><li>Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for working with children is highly valued.</li><li>Ability to perform dental assisting tasks including chairside support during various procedures.</li><li>Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.</li><li>Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
