</h2><ul><li>Regularly review the operation of plant equipment and systems, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
</li><li>Effectively communicate with crew from previous shift and with the crew of the following shift.
</li><li>Prioritize daily workload and assign work to Technicians as needed; following-up on rush requests.
</li><li>Work with Maintenance Manger on daily duties, expectations, and carrying out job plans.
</li><li>Work with Maintenance Planner on issuing daily PMs to technicians.
</li><li>Work closely with Production Supervisors, Production Leads, and production crews.
</li><li>Oversee all aspects of the Preventive Maintenance program including scheduling, assigning and tracking progress/completion. ( Little Chute only)
</li><li>Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production.
</li><li>Perform mechanic duties; including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of packaging and production machines.
</li><li>Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
</li><li>Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments as needed.
</li><li>Complete and maintain records and logs in an accurate and timely manner.
</li><li>Perform buildings and grounds maintenance and up-keep as needed; [including snow removal ( Little Chute only ) ], changing light bulbs and filters, etc.
</li><li>Train and mentor new Maintenance Technicians as needed, [keeping training documents updated ( Little Chute only) ].
</li><li>Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and requirements.
</li><li>Responsible for food safety and quality.
</li><li>Act as back up for Maintenance Manager related to food safety and quality.
</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Other Duties and Responsibilities:
</h2><ul><li>Regular contact with suppliers and vendors as well as occasional contact with regulatory agencies for inspections.
</li><li>Stay current in field and utilize that information where practical.
</li><li>Operate equipment including but not limited to the following: welders, drills, saws, grinders, wrenches and screwdrivers, punches and presses, rollers, hoists, jacks, cars, forklifts, man lifts, ladders, testers, chemical test kits, plant-specific machinery.
</li><li>Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
</li><li>Safety Protocol
<ul><li>Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
</li><li>Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
</li><li>Support safety policies and programs.

<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Qualifications:
</h2>Education Required:
<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.
</li><li>Technical School Degree or coursework in boiler, welding, electrical and HVAC preferred.
</li><li>Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
</li></ul>Experience Required:
<ul><li>Minimum six (6) years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
</li><li>Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
</li><li>Experience reading and understanding electrical prints and troubleshooting electrical circuits required.
</li><li>Experience with three phase motors, transformers, and control circuits required.
</li><li>Experience in a fluid processing environment preferred.
</li><li>Experience with reading electrical and PID drawings preferred.
</li><li>Experience with basic welding, including stainless steel welding preferred.
</li></ul>Certification/Licensure Required:
<ul><li>Forklift Certification preferred.
</li></ul>Skills Required:
