This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting while making a positive impact on patients&rsquo; oral health.Duties<ul><li>Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and arranging necessary supplies in accordance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. </li><li>Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments by providing chairside support and managing dental materials. </li><li>Operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. </li><li>Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate positioning and image quality for diagnosis. </li><li>Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; document medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes precisely. </li><li>Support front desk operations by functioning as a dental receptionist&mdash;scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining medical documentation. </li><li>Maintain strict infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate effective communication within the team.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with general dentistry procedures is essential. </li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is required; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus. </li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control practices is mandatory to protect patient confidentiality and safety. </li><li>Hands-on experience with dental radiography (X-ray) techniques and medical imaging tools like 3D scanners enhances your candidacy. </li><li>Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy supports effective communication within the clinical team. </li><li>Experience assisting in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is advantageous; familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures is desirable. </li><li>Certification in chairside assisting or dental assisting programs demonstrates your commitment to professional growth in this field.
