The Role
AICA Orthopedics is hiring a Float Medical Assistant across a zone of 2&ndash;3 metro Atlanta clinics. Pay $18&ndash;$25/hr.<ul><li>
Personal injury and orthopedic patients &mdash; high volume, acute needs, not routine check-ups</li><li>
Work alongside orthopedic physicians, PAs, and nurse practitioners</li><li>
X-ray certification moves you toward the top of the pay range &mdash; training provided if you don't have it</li><li>
Adapt across 2&ndash;3 assigned locations based on daily clinic need &mdash; same clinical standard at every site</li></ul>

What You'll Do
Patient Care<ul><li>
Room patients, obtain histories, record vital signs &mdash; on time so providers are not waiting</li><li>
Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures</li><li>
Administer injections and prepare medications per provider orders</li><li>
Educate patients on treatment plans and post-visit instructions</li></ul>
Clinical Procedures<ul><li>
Perform X-rays &mdash; training provided; certification earns top-of-range pay</li><li>
Fit patients for DME and provide usage instruction</li><li>
Manage medication inventory and comply with pharmacy procedures</li></ul>
Documentation<ul><li>
Accurate, HIPAA-compliant records in NextGen EHR &mdash; complete before end of shift</li><li>
Clinical areas stocked and organized without being prompted</li></ul>
Qualifications
Required<ul><li>
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Military Medical Specialist</li><li>
CMA, RMA, or equivalent &mdash; or actively working toward it</li><li>
EHR proficiency; NextGen preferred</li><li>
Reliable transportation &mdash; gas reimbursed for zone travel</li><li>
Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend and stoop regularly</li></ul>
Preferred &mdash; earns more<ul><li>
X-ray or ARRT certification &mdash; top-of-range pay consideration</li><li>
2+ years MA experience in a clinical setting</li><li>
Orthopedic, multi-specialty, or personal injury experience</li><li>
Bilingual English and Spanish</li></ul>
