About the Role</h2>
The Senior Data Strategy Manager is working closely with the Head of Data Strategy to align AIG&rsquo;s data strategy and operating model to business priorities, manage AIG&rsquo;s data budget, prepare executive communications, and drive end-to-end delivery of strategic data initiatives. This role partners with business and technical stakeholders to translate enterprise strategy into executable roadmaps, ensuring priorities are clearly defined, and funded, progress is tracked against plan, and critical initiatives are being delivered.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>
Program Leadership: Act as program manager and delivery lead for high-priority data initiatives. Drive end-to-end execution, including planning, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and outcome delivery.</li><li>
Priority Setting: Support definition of Data Office priorities in line with enterprise objectives. Ensure delivery plans, resources, and execution are tightly aligned to agreed priorities.</li><li>
Financial Planning: Support annual and multi-year financial planning for the Data Office. Track spending, monitor actuals vs. plan, and provide transparency on budget utilization and outcomes.</li><li>
Executive Communications: Prepare high-quality executive briefings for senior stakeholders and steering committees. Provide clear updates on strategic priorities, progress, risks, and value realization.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Required qualifications</h2><ul><li>
8+ years of experience in data strategy, data management, or similar leadership roles, preferably in insurance, banking or other related fields.</li><li>
Experience leading cross-functional data programs from design through delivery.</li><li>
Demonstrated ownership of budget planning, financial tracking, and cost management.</li><li>
Strong understanding of value realization, business case development, and ROI tracking.</li><li>
Proven ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise executive briefings.</li><li>
Deep knowledge of data ecosystems (data platforms, governance, AI/ML concepts).</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Preferred qualifications</h2><ul><li>
Experience with cloud data/AI ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and common platforms/tools (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kubernetes).</li><li>
Familiarity with Data Governance and Responsible AI practices (e.g. data quality, privacy, security, fairness, and model risk management).</li><li>
Experience delivering GenAI solutions, including evaluation, safety, and governance.</li><li>
Program/project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) and/or agile certification (CSM/PSM, SAFe).</li><li>
Experience leading distributed/onshore-offshore teams and external partners.</li>
Master&rsquo;s degree in a related field is nice to have.

For positions based in New York, NY, the base salary range is $173,000-$217,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

<div>About the role
This position is part of the UW support career progression and may report to a Senior Specialist, UW Support, Team Leader, or to an Team Manager, Underwriting Support. The Senior Underwriting Assistant is an individual contributor within the Underwriting Support Unit of the unit&rsquo;s field operations. This role assists the underwriters by screening risk offerings and with pre and post-binding processes. The role also performs services including problem-solving or research projects requiring broad insurance and/or procedural knowledge and works under direct supervision. This role will work on our Commercial Property Business Line. 
Key responsibilities:
In addition to the traditional UA duties (see description below), this role will:<ul><li>
Support regional UA Manager in overseeing all daily business activities and act as the first point of call for all UAs in the region</li><li>
Review new submissions against prescribed criteria to determine if risk qualifies for LOB risk appetite. Triages submission for missing information and follows up with the broker for outstanding items.</li><li>
Performs a comparison of renewal submission information against prior year information and documents differences for underwriting (i.e. &ndash; large exposure change, new entities or sold entities, change in operations, significant change in loss history, etc.).</li><li>
Renewals - prior to policy expiration, reviews policies for manuscript endorsements and initiates the manuscript endorsement approval process on behalf of underwriting.</li><li>
Issues policies, endorsements, and cancellations; prepares policy writing instructions and premium billings, and processes individual policy filings.</li><li>
Completes loss rating and develops initial pricing, basic coverage structuring, quotation, and binder packages on behalf of the underwriter.</li><li>
Possess an in-depth understanding of coverages and program structures, as well as internal policy coding systems to ensure account completeness.</li><li>
Designated as the first point of contact for brokers.</li><li>
Assists the underwriter in the preparation of business, and metric reports; assists in the review of procedures to resolve issues.</li><li>
Trains and end provides oversight of less experienced support staff.</li><li>
Participates in projects as required.</li><li>
Establish effective relationships with internal and external customers.</li><li>
Performs quality control of all work returned from Shared Services (i.e. &ndash; manual rating, policies, endorsements, etc.).</li><li>
Performs quality control of premium audit statements prior to underwriting review; documents discrepancies and work with the premium auditor for resolution.</li><li>
Performs quality control of adjustments prior to underwriting review; documents discrepancies and works with CS adjustment team for resolution.</li><li>
Attend broker or client meetings as requested by underwriting.</li></ul> 
Job Requirements:<ul><li>
Knowledge of commercial insurance policy forms and regulatory requirements; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.</li><li>
2+ years of commercial insurance experience.</li><li>
Prioritizing &ndash; able to navigate and switch between multiple proprietary, vendor, web-based, and standard computer systems.</li><li>

 As a Liability Claims Adjuster you will handle a portfolio of lower-complexity Liability claims from coverage enquiry through legal liability assessment (where relevant) and quantum analysis, to timely and accurate resolution; ensuring mitigation of indemnity and expense exposure, while communicating developments and outcomes as necessary to all key internal and external stakeholders. Provide a high standard of customer service and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
