 Aiimi is seeking a Data Scientist to join our consulting department and to work directly with one of our clients. You will work closely with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand complex problems, architect scalable models, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.&nbsp;
 
 &nbsp;
 
 Please be aware that this is a client-facing role, which will see the successful candidate work on-site 5 days per week in Derby, and will require UK Security Clearance eligibility due to the sensitive nature of the work.
 
 
 
 Job Requirements
 
 
 
 
 Essential:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline, or equivalent academic experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in data science or related fields.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with machine learning, statistical modelling (including time series analysis), and data mining techniques.
 </li>
 <li>
 Expertise in data wrangling, feature engineering, and working with large, complex datasets.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience deploying models to production and knowledge of MLOps practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
 </li>
 <li>
 Eligible for security clearance.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Desirable:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in a consultancy environment or working with clients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with data engineering workflows.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with big data tools and technologies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Relevant certifications in data science.

 Job Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Support the end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning and models tailored to client needs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform data analysis, feature engineering, and model selection to build robust predictive and prescriptive models.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate closely with clients, product owners, engineers, and analysts to ensure solutions are aligned with business goals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Validate and monitor model performance, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance with ethical standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to proposal development, client workshops, and technical presentations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the integration of models into production environments, working with data engineers and DevOps teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay up to date with emerging data science trends, tools, and best practices, advocating continuous improvement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Influence and help develop internal data science standards, tools, and methodologies.
