Roles and responsibilities<ul><li>Perform imaging procedures: Operate CT and X-ray machines to capture diagnostic images of the body.</li><li>Patient care: Prepare patients for the scans, explain the procedures, ensure their comfort and safety, and assist them with positioning.</li><li>Maintain equipment: Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of radiology equipment.</li><li>Collaborate with radiologists: Provide high-quality diagnostic images to assist radiologists and doctors in their assessments.</li><li>Adhere to safety standards: Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.</li></ul>Technology and techniques<ul><li>X-ray: A conventional 2D image created by passing a narrow beam of X-rays through a part of the body to an imaging plate.</li><li>CT scan: A more advanced imaging technique that uses a rotating X-ray tube and detectors to create multiple cross-sectional images.
