As a 2nd Line NOC Engineer, you will be a critical part of the team, you will have incidents escalated, asked for guidance and help engineers with ticket through to resolution, allowing you to gain a wide range of exposure to different technologies, whilst increasing your ability to progress your knowledge.

The NOC at Air IT looks after every customer, provides an always on approach and works with every local desk to ensure a smooth handover of tickets. With a 24x7x365 coverage across both the UK and Kuala Lumpur desks, it ensures we always have someone on shift.

The Role:

As a 2nd Line NOC Engineer you'll be a core part of the team, providing guidance, experience and advise to other team members.

Your responsibilities will include:
<ul>
<li>Triaging and prioritising incoming NOC tickets and notifications tickets (including alerts generated by monitoring systems such as backups, network, servers and any other systems)</li>
<li>Managing escalations and prioritising these during the shift.</li>
<li>Coordinating with third-party vendors, customer contacts, or internal departments.</li>
<li>Taking ownership of tickets, seeing them through to resolution or escalating where appropriate</li>
<li>Monitor the performance and capability of computer systems using diversified tools, including but not limited to Windows Server Administration Tools including Hyper-V, Auvik, Azure and VMWare</li>
<li>Maximize network availability by monitoring performance and troubleshooting network degradation and outages</li>
<li>Ensure backups are correctly set up and monitored</li>
<li>Maintain a library of Knowledge Base articles for known issues and best practices</li>
<li>Provide Lunch and Learn sessions to other team members.</li>
</ul>
About You:

To excel in this role, you'll need:
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in a 2nd Line Role</li>
<li>Experience with PSA/RMM</li>
<li>Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Proficiency with the latest Microsoft technologies</li>
<li>Strong experience with Cloud Backup Solutions</li>
<li>Previous experience of working in a NOC</li>
</ul>
