Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Network Configuration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for remotely configuring, testing, and securing customer-premises equipment (CPE) across a wide range of technologies and platforms. You will collaborate with IT developers to automate provisioning workflows and ensure seamless, secure, and scalable customer experience.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Remote Configuration &amp; Deployment 
Configure and validate routers, switches, SD-WAN devices, firewalls, and media converters (Cisco, Juniper, Adtran, VeloCloud, Mushroom, etc.) for customer deployments.</li><li>
Template Management &amp; Automation 
Maintain and enhance configuration templates for various ISP/MSP service types. Collaborate with software developers to automate provisioning and reduce manual effort.</li><li>
Pre-Deployment Testing 
Conduct functional and security testing of customer equipment to ensure readiness prior to shipment.</li><li>
Inventory &amp; System Integration 
Load configuration data and metadata into inventory, provisioning, and order management systems.</li><li>
Troubleshooting &amp; RCA 
Perform root cause analysis on failed or returned equipment and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.</li><li>
Security &amp; Compliance 
Apply and maintain security policies to safeguard customer and internal networks from unauthorized access or abuse.</li><li>
Cross-Functional Communication 
Coordinate with technical support, service delivery, NOC, and engineering teams to ensure visibility into configuration changes and deployment status.</li><li>
Process Improvement 
Identify and automate repetitive tasks to focus on complex configurations and enhance the overall customer experience.</li><li>
Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet devices, including firewalls and access points</li><li>
Familiarity with FortiOS and basic security policies (VPN, NAT, firewall rules)</li><li>
Fortinet certification (e.g., NSE 4) preferred</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li> 
Certifications 
Junior to intermediate certifications in Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS), or Adtran (ACA/ACNP) preferred.</li><li>
Experience 
3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting ISP/MSP customer equipment, including protocols such as BGP, MPLS, ACLs, static routing, PRI, and FXS.</li><li>
Technical Skills<ul><li>
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network topologies</li><li>
Familiarity with SD-WAN, cloud-managed networking, and electronic provisioning systems</li><li>
Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus</li></ul></li><li>
Soft Skills<ul><li>
Excellent communication and documentation skills</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</li><li>
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities</li></ul></li></ul>

Are you a seasoned network engineer who thrives in complex environments and loves solving challenging problems across multi-vendor platforms? Join our global Managed Services team and help support mission-critical networks for enterprise clients across the U.S.
Location: Remote
Level: Tier 3 / Senior Support 
What You'll Do 
<ul><li>
Provide Tier 3 support for diverse network environments including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, ADTRAN, Juniper, Meraki, and HP/Dell switches</li><li>
Troubleshoot advanced routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, DMVPN</li><li>
Support SD-WAN platforms (Cisco Viptela, Ecessa, Vergx) and wireless LAN controllers</li><li>
Configure and troubleshoot voice services: SIP, PRI, Hosted PBX, TDM/IP interworking, Fax over IP</li><li>
Collaborate with field techs and ISPs to resolve complex issues</li><li>
Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions</li><li>
Analyze SIP traffic using Wireshark and other diagnostic tools</li><li>
Maintain documentation and ensure SLA compliance</li><li>
Design and implement network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems</li><li>
Develop and execute network migration plans for large-scale infrastructure upgrades</li><li>
Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for enterprise networks</li><li>
Mentor and provide technical guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams</li><li>
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical issues</li><li>
Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures</li><li>
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve network performance and reliability</li></ul> 
Qualifications 
What You Bring<ul><li>
Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field</li><li>
Certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet NSE 4, Cisco Meraki Specialist, ADTRAN ATSP/ATSA</li><li>
5+ years of experience in Tier 2/3 network and voice support roles</li><li>
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network topologies</li><li>
Experience with Microsoft platforms (Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)</li><li>
Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus</li></ul>
