Overview:
<div>
The <b><i>Gateway Supervisor</i></b> is responsible for performance management and professional development of the Gateway department. The <b><i>Gateway Supervisor</i></b> will be responsible for supervision and training employees; assigns work to others and a resource to employees. Assists as needed to complete the work of the department in addition to daily shipment processing. Manage relationships with international service providers and partners throughout the globe. Liaise with international vendors to manage shipment bookings, ensuring timely transfers from logistics providers&rsquo; warehouses and onward to final destinations, as appropriate.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Ensures compliance with all operational procedures and regulations.</li><li>
Schedules and monitors handling of incoming and outgoing consolidations and/or shipments, as well as disposition of consolidations.</li><li>
Pre and Post Flight performance oversight.</li><li>
Routing &amp; Optimization &ndash; this position will have the requirement to review our routing optimization data in order to effectively impact volume steering + consolidation potential (volume paid/usage of free weight) on a regular basis.</li><li>
Ensure follow up with airlines to ensure consolidations fly as booked.</li><li>
Assists Gateway Manager in distribution of work.</li><li>
Follow up with feeder stations to ensure timeliness of delivery and compliance with regulations.</li><li>
Acts as gateway subject matter expert and trains employees on Gateway procedures.</li><li>
Ensure consolidation schedules are updated.</li><li>
Maximization of margin through effective ULD build-up.</li><li>
Ensures continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies, reduce waste and improve performance to our customers.</li><li>
Monitor, and maintain milestone compliance during the lifecycle of each shipment.</li><li>
Participate in creating and/or modifying SOP&rsquo;s for new business, or existing business.</li><li>
Manage unbillable cost resulting from demurrage, storage, and dry runs.</li><li><p>
The wage range for this position is $73,700.00-$106,100.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience</p>
</li></ul>Qualifications:
<ul><li>Associates Degree related field or equivalent to 7 years in industry</li><li>
5-7 years&rsquo; work experience in International Freight Forwarding industry</li><li>
Minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory position preferred</li><li>
IATA certified, DG certification desired</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer</li><li>
Ability to handle conflicts with positive resolution</li><li>
Strong oral and written communication skills</li><li>
Ability to work flexible hours and in a high-volume, high-pressure fast work environment</li><li>
High standards in quality and service level agreements</li></ul>
