<div>The Housekeeping Supervisor will assist the Housekeeping Operations Managers in supervising the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department to ensure the highest quality of services are maintained. This requires continuous visual inspection of guest rooms and public areas, restaurants, lounges and meeting rooms.
Work Requirements
<ul><li>Assists in distributing and delegating work load to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction by monitoring hotel occupancy and making necessary adjustments;</li>
<li>Assists in proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with OSHA regulations;</li>
<li>Attend to associate relations</li>
<li>Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, d&eacute;cor, etc. Make report of any necessary improvements and assist in the coordination of projects such as deep cleaning and pressure washing</li>
<li>Ensures all daily and weekly tasks/projects are completed by Room and Public Area Attendants by utilizing a detailed checklist. Will prepare, distribute, and communicate changes made to the checklist;</li>
<li>Responds to any guest complaints and brings to the attention of the Operation Manager or Director of Housekeeping;</li>
<li>Assists with cleaning the guest rooms when required to;</li>
<li>Maintain a competent and motivated diverse team by maintaining a professional demeanor and rewarding excellent job performance;</li>
<li>Will maintain inventory of supplies, requisitioning items as needed;</li>
<li>Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry to ensure complete guest satisfaction</li>
<li>Ensure all daily inspections including rooms, public areas, corridors and back of house areas are completed and results are traced through the online tracking system;</li>
<li>Supervisors are fundamentally responsible for ensuring safety. This may include but is not limited to participating as a member of a safety committee, assist in developing workplace safety procedures, enforce and promote workplace safety procedures, conducting investigations of any accidents/incidents occurring in their departments and immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents.</li>
<li>Ensure all attendants have all materials needed to perform tasks.</li>
<li>Follow up with onboarding check list and training for all department associates.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>At least 1 year experience supervising in a hospitality environment but will consider other supervisory experience.</li>
<li>Must be able to communicate effectively and have the ability to handle stress and pressure while maintaining composure;</li>
<li>Must be able to read, write and speak English. Multi-lingual preferred.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to resolve problems effectively and in a positive manner</li>
<li>Must be able to work in a diverse environment;</li>
<li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays.</li>
<li>Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills;</li>
<li>Must have legible handwriting skills;</li>
<li>Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines</li>

Housekeeping Supervisor

<div>Overview
Responsible for executing maintenance, including: diagnosing problems and making repairs in order to maintain the physical condition of the property according to operating and safety standards and to ensure that service requests and repairs are made in a timely manner.
Safety and Environmental Performance
<ul><li>Lead the safety effort by personal example</li>
<li>Support full hotel compliance with safety rules to further our goal of zero (0) accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses</li>
<li>Adhere to SOPs and other work procedures as required to assure guest satisfaction and consistencies to our customers</li>
<li>Immediately report all injuries to the supervisor or manager on duty and to the security manager on duty</li>
</ul>
Work Requirements
<ul><li>Responsible for performing highly diversified duties like install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain utilities, production and facility equipment in accordance with the site safety principles, predictive, and production maintenance systems and processes in order to achieve the site's business goals and objectives.</li>
<li>Perform building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc). Perform general cleaning.</li>
<li>General knowledge of good engineering practices for regulated facilities.</li>
<li>Perform highly diversified duties such as: install and maintain production equipment, utilities, and facility equipment.</li>
<li>Provide support of emergency, unscheduled repairs for production and utilities equipment.</li>
<li>Perform a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.</li>
<li>Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.</li>
<li>Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.</li>
<li>Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.</li>
</ul>
Other duties as assigned 
 
Education &amp; Experience
1. High School or equivalent preferred 
2. 1-3 years of related experience preferred 
3. General knowledge of plumbing, electric, and/or HVAC preferred 
4. One to two years of vocational/technical training or an Associate's degree preferred. 
 
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
<ul><li>Ability to occasionally operate general office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, telephone, photocopying machine, facsimile machine and postage machine.</li>
<li>Ability to frequently use general maintenance tools, supplies and equipment such as, but not limited to, hand tools, pressure washers, blowers, paint equipment, pool chemicals, ice removal equipment, ladders, landscaping equipment, sandblasters, and safety equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to frequently handle and use chemicals and general cleaning supplies.</li>
<li>Ability to frequently transport up to 60 pounds variable distances, the mobility and flexibility to use required equipment and to access and work in restricted spaces or at heights in excess of 8 - 9 feet.</li>
<li>Ability to frequently operate motorized vehicles such as, but not limited to, a car, truck, or van.</li>
