Mechanical Draftsman

1. Role ObjectiveTo develop and execute the sales strategy for diesel generator sales in Qatar for the assigned product:<ul><li>Securing vendor approvals with key end users and government authorities</li><li>Generating project-based sales through consultants and contractors</li><li>Driving specification inclusion at design stage</li><li>Building brand positioning through technical seminars and market engagement</li></ul>The role is techno-commercial with a strong focus on project pipeline development.2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Sales &amp; Marketing: <ul><li>Develop and execute annual sales plan for generator sets (LV &amp; MV applications)</li><li>Target sectors:</li><li>Government &amp; semi-government entities</li><li>Infrastructure &amp; utilities</li><li>Oil &amp; Gas</li><li>Commercial &amp; mixed-use developments</li><li>Industrial projects</li><li>Achieving sales targets (Revenue, GP %, Market Share)</li><li>Identify project pipeline and track projects</li></ul>B. Product Approvals &amp; Vendor Registration<ul><li>Liaise with:</li><li>End users (ministries, utility authorities, developers)</li><li>MEP consultants</li><li>Main contractors</li><li>Oil &amp; Gas operators</li><li>Manage vendor registration and prequalification submissions with the PQ team.</li><li>Coordinate with the factory for technical documentation, compliance certificates, and deviations</li></ul>C. Specification &amp; Consultant Engagement<ul><li>Promote generators&amp; assigned products at design stage</li><li>Conduct technical presentations to:</li><li>MEP consultants</li><li>Electrical design offices</li><li>Secure brand specification in tender documents</li><li>Provide load calculations and generator-sizing support</li></ul>D. Technical &amp; Commercial Proposal Management<ul><li>Prepare techno-commercial offers including:</li><li>Generator sizing</li><li>ATS panels</li><li>Synchronization systems</li><li>Acoustic enclosures</li><li>Fuel systems</li><li>Review tender documents and highlight deviations</li><li>Coordinate pricing strategy with management</li><li>Negotiate and close deals</li></ul>E. Marketing &amp; Brand Positioning<ul><li>Organize:</li><li>Technical seminars</li><li>Product launch events</li><li>Contractor workshops</li><li>CPD sessions for consultants</li><li>Participate in industry events and exhibitions</li><li>Develop brand visibility</li></ul>F. After-Sales Coordination<ul><li>Coordinate with service team for:</li><li>Installation supervision</li><li>Commissioning</li><li>Warranty support</li><li>Ensure smooth handover from sales to execution</li></ul>3. Candidate ProfileEducation<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering fields</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Minimum 5 years experience in Qatar</li><li>Proven experience in:</li><li>Diesel generator sales</li><li>Project-based MEP sales</li><li>Consultant approvals and vendor registration</li><li>Existing network with:</li><li>MEP consultants</li><li>Major contractors</li><li>Government entities</li></ul>Technical Knowledge<ul><li>Generator sizing and load analysis</li><li>Synchronization &amp; load sharing systems</li><li>LV/MV distribution</li><li>Familiarity with local authority regulations</li></ul>4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<ul><li>Annual revenue target achievement</li><li>Gross margin performance</li><li>Number of vendor approvals secured</li><li>Number of projects specified at design stage</li><li>Conversion ratio (Tender to Order)</li><li>Number of technical seminars conducted annually</li><li>Motivated &amp; taking lead on assigned tasks</li></ul>5.
