Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:<ul><li>Perform comprehensive oral examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for pediatric patients.</li></ul><ul><li>Provide preventive and restorative dental care, including fillings, crowns, pulpotomies, and extractions.</li></ul><ul><li>Deliver behavioral management techniques to ensure a positive dental experience for children.</li></ul><ul><li>Perform dental procedures under General Anesthesia (GA) in collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgical team.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage dental emergencies, including trauma cases, in children.</li></ul><ul><li>Provide oral health education and counseling to parents and caregivers.</li></ul><ul><li>Monitor post-operative recovery and ensure appropriate discharge instructions.</li></ul>Hospital Privileges &amp; Compliance:<ul><li>Maintain valid hospital privileges for procedures under GA.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure all procedures are performed following hospital protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.</li></ul><ul><li>Document all treatments and anesthesia-related procedures accurately in the patient&rsquo;s medical record.</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in regular morbidity and mortality (M&amp;M) reviews related to GA cases, if required.</li></ul>Collaboration &amp; Coordination:<ul><li>Work closely with anesthesiologists, pediatricians, nurses, and OR staff to ensure smooth coordination of care.</li></ul><ul><li>Refer patients to other dental or medical specialists as needed.</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case discussions.</li></ul>Quality &amp; Safety:<ul><li>Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and radiation safety protocols.</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and accreditation processes (e.g., JCI, QCHP standards).</li></ul><ul><li>Report and document adverse events or near misses related to GA or dental procedures.</li></ul>Education &amp; Professional Development:<ul><li>Stay updated on the latest techniques, guidelines, and evidence-based practices in pediatric dentistry and anesthesia.</li></ul><ul><li>Attend continuing medical education (CME) programs and maintain licensure/certifications.</li></ul><ul><li>Mentor dental assistants, interns, and junior staff when required.</li></ul>&#11835;Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with specialization in Pediatric Dentistry (MDS, MSc, or equivalent).</li></ul><ul><li>Licensure: Valid and current license to practice dentistry in the country of employment (QCHP/DoH/DHA license or eligibility).</li></ul><ul><li>Certification:</li></ul><ul><li>Privileges to perform dental procedures under General Anesthesia (GA).</li></ul><ul><li>BLS/ACLS or PALS certification (preferred or as required by hospital).</li></ul><ul><li>Experience: Minimum 2&ndash;3 years post-specialization experience, including proven experience in performing dental procedures under GA.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-time
