Chief Accountant/Finance ManagerJob descriptionIndustry: Construction materialLocation: Riyadh KSAJob Purpose:The Chief Accountant/Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company&rsquo;s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, managing small accounting team, and providing accurate and timely financial reporting to support business decisions.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.</li><li>Responsible for timely &amp; accurate reporting to the head office based in UAE.</li><li>Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and budgets before submission to head office.</li><li>Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.</li><li>Coordinate external and internal audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and financial regulations.</li><li>Manage cash flow, working capital, and support treasury functions.</li><li>Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team; train and develop staff.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments to support business planning and financial forecasting.</li><li>Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulatory requirements.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master&rsquo;s degree preferred).</li><li>Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.</li><li>7&ndash;10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role with construction business.</li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and tax regulations.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Leadership and team management</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Strategic and analytical thinking</li><li>Time management and organizational skills</li><li>Integrity and confidentiality</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>accounting/finance: 7 years (Required)</li></ul>
