Job description
We are looking for a skilled Procurement Officer with a background in the construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of construction materials and services procurement processes, ensuring that all purchasing aligns with project timelines and budgetary considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Develop and execute effective procurement strategies tailored to construction projects.</li>
<li>Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers of construction materials, equipment, and services.</li>
<li>Manage supplier relationships to guarantee high quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of materials.</li>
<li>Collaborate with project managers and site teams to understand procurement needs and provide strategic support.</li>
<li>Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and analyze trends in construction pricing and availability.</li>
<li>Maintain thorough documentation of procurement processes, purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and company standards in all procurement activities.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.</li>
<li>3 to 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.</li>
<li>Strong negotiation and communication skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li>
