Job Purpose

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Communications Intern to support our efforts in crafting compelling messages and engaging content for our internal and external audiences. The Communications team works cross-functionally, providing an opportunity to interact with colleagues across various business units and functions at Albany.

Responsibilities

Content Creation and Management:
<ul>
<li>Assist in writing and editing engaging content for our intranet, e-Boards, emails, press releases, and social media platforms.</li>
<li>Support the creation of visual assets, such as graphics, photos, or videos.</li>
<li>Research and develop content ideas aligned with the company's mission and goals.</li>
</ul>
Social Media Management:
<ul>
<li>Help manage and monitor social media channels, including drafting and scheduling posts. 
Analyze engagement metrics to provide insights and suggestions for improving social media strategies.</li>
<li>Respond to comments and messages on social platforms in a professional and timely manner, when required.</li>
</ul>
Internal Communications:
<ul>
<li>Contribute to internal announcements, support communication for Human Resources initiatives, and employee engagement campaigns.</li>
<li>Support the creation and distribution of communication materials for internal events and initiatives.</li>
<li>Help coordinate communication, planning, and logistics for occasional employee events.</li>
</ul>
Administrative Tasks:
<ul>
<li>Organize and maintain digital files, including communication materials and media assets.</li>
<li>Support team members with scheduling, meeting preparation, and other tasks as needed.</li>
</ul>Requirements:
Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>Current pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed.</li>
<li>Minimum GPA 3.0</li>
</ul>
Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications</li>
<li>Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.</li>
<li>Basic design skills (experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus).</li>
<li>Basic photography and photo editing skills a plus</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.</li>
<li>A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.</li>
<li>Strong interest in storytelling, branding, and digital communications.</li>

Communications Intern-Corporate

<div>Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is one of the most technically advanced designers and manufacturers of lightweight composite aerospace structures, subassemblies and components. For more than 50 years, AEC has innovated advanced composite solutions for defense and commercial industries in applications from large commercial transports to fighter jets and commercial and military rotorcraft.
 
 
Our composite design and fabrication expertise can be found on many defense programs. AEC provides a wide range of products including complete structural assemblies, flight critical components, primary and secondary structural elements for platforms such as the F-35 Lightning II, the CH-53K Heavy-lift Helicopter and the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM). 
 
 
AEC SLC is supportive of student education through experiential development. We are currently looking for an intern to support various improvement projects in our Industrial Engineering department.

An Industrial Engineering Intern will coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain Management to support AEC-SLC's long term business objectives, through performing data analytics, Facility Layouts, Footprint Optimization, and Project Management.
Primary Responsibilities:

<ul><li>Works closely with Operations leadership to prepare reports and data analytics</li>
<li>Support in the development and upkeep of Operational Performance Metrics</li>
<li>Support time study efforts and other data collection and aggregation initiatives</li>
<li>Analysis of production Standards vs Actuals to facilitate reliable Capacity Planning.</li>
<li>Support targeted plant layout design and modifications using AutoCAD</li>
</ul>Requirements:
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Actively pursuing an Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related fields with at least one term of relevant work experience (Internship or Co-op)</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)</li>
<li>Collaborative Spirit and Willingness to Think Outside the Box</li>
<li>Comfortability with learning and applying Statistical Analytics</li>
<li>Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD modeling software preferred.</li>

As the HR - Total Rewards - Corporate Intern, you will work closely with the Director of Total Rewards to support the evaluation, development, and implementation, of Total Rewards - Compensation and Benefits programs. <li>Assist in generation of training materials: Support the design and creation of training materials and presentations for Albany's employee benefits programs.</li>
<li>Assist with plan management: Develop processes to monitor the cost of employee benefit programs and ensure on-going compliance with Albany's procurement policies.</li>
<li>Invoicing Support: Create a PO and invoice tracking process for the Total Rewards department.</li>
<li>Data Management &amp; Reporting: Help maintain records and reports of total rewards activities, and feedback.</li>
