The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine seeks applicants for a Research Technician B to join the Animal Phenotyping (AP) Core.</div><div>
The AP Core is a centralized, shared resource facility that supports interdisciplinary neuroscience research through rigorous and reproducible assessment of rodent behavior. The core provides dedicated testing space, state-of-the-art equipment, and expert support in behavioral phenotyping, experimental design, data acquisition and analysis.</div><div></div><div><br>
In addition to supporting ongoing projects, the core is actively expanding its capabilities in novel behavioral assay development, computer vision&ndash;based behavioral monitoring and computational analysis, offering opportunities to contribute to innovative methodological development.</div><div></div><div><br>
This is a half-time (50% effort) position (around 20 hours per week), with effort primarily aligned with IDDRC-supported activities. This is a one-year term position, with the possibility of renewal based on available funding and satisfactory performance. The work location for this position is in-person at the Kennedy Building.</div>
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:<div></div><div><br>
The person will:</div><div></div><ul><li><br>
Assist with preparation and execution of rodent behavioral experiments conducted through the core;</li><li>Support behavioral assay setup, scheduling, and experimental workflows;</li><li>Assist with data collection, record-keeping, and organization of behavioral datasets;</li><li>Assist with maintaining standardized procedures that promote rigor and reproducibility across studies</li><li>Require occasional guidance;</li><li>Occasionally be responsible for ordering routine supplies;</li><li>rarely modify technical procedures;</li><li>rarely train or guide other lab members;</li><li>Occasionally analyze data;</li><li>Rarely interpret data;</li></ul><br>

QUALIFICATIONS:
<div>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in biology or a related field is required or equivalent skills and related experience and zero to two years of experience;</div><div></div><div><br>
Prior experience with rodents and behavioral assays is preferred; Interest or experience in computational methods or computer vision applications in neuroscience is preferred.</div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Demonstrated ability to follow standardized protocols and maintain consistency in experimental procedures
</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, organized experimental records
</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and support several concurrent projects in a shared-resource environment
</li><li>Basic computer skills and comfort with data entry, file organization, and routine data handling.</li></ul><br>

Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract. Research Technician B

Position</b></div><p>
The Critical Care Study Coordinator will have responsibilities to support and assist the MD in administering and monitoring and daily operation of all critical care research projects. This position will be fully involved in all critical care studies and clinical trials, and will responsible for educating and training ICU staff on the division's studies, protocol and importance; manage mechanisms for identifying eligible patients and their surrogates; manage subject interviews; initiate, manage, and coordinate several observational research studies and clinical trials in sepsis, acute lung injury and other critical illnesses. The position will also oversee subject recruitment, interviews, sample collection and processing, training of research and clinical staff, monitoring/reporting of research compliance and adverse events, data collection and entry, FDA and multicenter paperwork/interactions and other duties. Additional observational and/or therapeutic protocols are likely. SC must be willing to be flexible with the hours as needed for the study.</p>

Collaborate with research coordinators to ensure adequate study coverage</li></ul><div><div>

Lead patient screening and recruitment efforts</li></ul><div><div>
</div></div><ul><li>
Perform data entry and maintain data integrity for ongoing projects</li></ul><div><div>
</div></div><ul><li>
Ensure adherence to research protocols and study guidelines</li></ul><div><div>
</div></div><ul><li>
Maintain organized and compliant clinical research records</li></ul><div><div>
</div></div><ul><li>
Foster effective communication with clinical, professional, and ancillary staff</li></ul><div><div>
</div></div><ul><li>
Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and regulatory documentation</li></ul><div><div>
</div></div><ul><li>
Perform additional related duties as assigned</li></ul></li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree required.</li><li>
Experience in medical or public health research is preferred.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while working as part of a team.</li><li>
Strong computer skills, including MS Excel.
</li><li>Clinical Research experience preferred</li><li>
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred</li></ul>
