<div>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) Flow Cytometry Core Facility is a Cancer Centersubsidized shared resource. Its function is to provide high quality, cost effective state-of-the-art flow cytometry and multiparameter cell sorting instrumentation and associated expertise and services to all investigators at the college. The facility permits maximum and efficient utilization of the equipment and serves to enhance the quality and scope of scientific research performed at Albert Einstein.<br>
<br>
The person will:</div><br>
<ul><li>
Perform daily maintenance of the flow cytometry analyzer and run QC daily</li><li>
Setup cell sorter including QC and perform Cell sorting daily.</li><li>
Troubleshooting technical issues and require only infrequent guidance</li><li>
Occasionally train or guide other lab members</li><li>
Communicated with engineer for instrument troubleshooting</li><li>
Occasionally help with experiment design;</li><li>
Occasionally modify technical procedures;</li><li>
May modify experimental protocols;</li><li>
Occasionally analyze and interpret data;</li><li>
May occasionally make written contributions to papers and grant proposals;*</li><li>
An understanding of moderately complex scientific literature and moderate understanding of research goals and rationale is required</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul><li>Required to have at least a Bachelor's Degree in a related science or equivalent skills or experience, and two to four and one half years of related experience.</li><li>BS Degree in Biology or other Medical/Life Sciences-related field preferred.</li><li>Previous Flow Cytometry knowledge and working experience preferred.</li></ul>

Research Technician C

The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine seeks applicants for a Research Technician B to join the Animal Phenotyping (AP) Core.</div><div>
The AP Core is a centralized, shared resource facility that supports interdisciplinary neuroscience research through rigorous and reproducible assessment of rodent behavior. The core provides dedicated testing space, state-of-the-art equipment, and expert support in behavioral phenotyping, experimental design, data acquisition and analysis.</div><div></div><div><br>
In addition to supporting ongoing projects, the core is actively expanding its capabilities in novel behavioral assay development, computer vision&ndash;based behavioral monitoring and computational analysis, offering opportunities to contribute to innovative methodological development.</div><div></div><div><br>
This is a half-time (50% effort) position (around 20 hours per week), with effort primarily aligned with IDDRC-supported activities. This is a one-year term position, with the possibility of renewal based on available funding and satisfactory performance. The work location for this position is in-person at the Kennedy Building.</div>

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in biology or a related field is required or equivalent skills and related experience and zero to two years of experience;</div><div></div><div><br>
Prior experience with rodents and behavioral assays is preferred; Interest or experience in computational methods or computer vision applications in neuroscience is preferred.</div><br>

Demonstrated ability to follow standardized protocols and maintain consistency in experimental procedures
</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, organized experimental records
</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and support several concurrent projects in a shared-resource environment

Research Technician B

Position</b></div><p>
The Critical Care Study Coordinator will have responsibilities to support and assist the MD in administering and monitoring and daily operation of all critical care research projects. This position will be fully involved in all critical care studies and clinical trials, and will responsible for educating and training ICU staff on the division's studies, protocol and importance; manage mechanisms for identifying eligible patients and their surrogates; manage subject interviews; initiate, manage, and coordinate several observational research studies and clinical trials in sepsis, acute lung injury and other critical illnesses. The position will also oversee subject recruitment, interviews, sample collection and processing, training of research and clinical staff, monitoring/reporting of research compliance and adverse events, data collection and entry, FDA and multicenter paperwork/interactions and other duties. Additional observational and/or therapeutic protocols are likely. SC must be willing to be flexible with the hours as needed for the study.</p>

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in medical or public health research is preferred.</li><li>

Strong computer skills, including MS Excel.
