Since our founding in 2022, we&rsquo;ve grown from zero to serving 246 real estate businesses across the United States.THE ROLEThe Business Growth Specialist is the first point of contact for real estate professionals exploring Alchemy&rsquo;s services. This is a consultative sales role. You will conduct Discovery Calls with prospective members, assess their financial needs, and prescribe the right combination of bookkeeping, payroll, and tax solutions to solve their challenges. You are equal parts advisor and closer.You will also be responsible for reactivating past leads and contacts, managing follow-up sequences, and ensuring no opportunity falls through the cracks.WHAT YOU'LL DO<ul><li>Conduct 30-minute Discovery Calls with prospective members to understand their business, financial pain points, and goals</li><li>Perform a structured needs analysis on the spot to determine whether Alchemy is the right fit and which services will deliver the greatest impact</li><li>Prescribe a tailored membership configuration across bookkeeping, payroll, and tax solutions based on each prospect&rsquo;s specific situation</li><li>Clearly articulate the value of Alchemy&rsquo;s services in the context of the prospect&rsquo;s real estate business</li><li>Manage a pipeline of leads from initial contact through close, maintaining disciplined follow-up cadences</li><li>Reactivate and re-engage past leads, dormant contacts, and unconverted prospects through outbound outreach</li><li>Represent Alchemy at industry conventions, trade shows, and real estate events a few times per year &mdash; staff the Alchemy booth, engage with attendees, and generate new leads in persoTrack all activity and pipeline data in the CRM with accuracy and consistency</li><li>Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality, messaging, and member objections</li><li>Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly membership enrollment targets</li></ul>WHO YOU ARE<ul><li>4+ years of experience in consultative or solution-based sales (financial services, SaaS, or professional services preferred)</li><li>You listen first and prescribe second, understanding that the discovery process is the sale</li><li>Strong communicator who can translate financial concepts into clear, relatable language for real estate professionals</li><li>Comfortable with high-volume outbound follow-up and pipeline management</li><li>Self-motivated and disciplined &mdash; you thrive in a remote environment where results matter</li><li>Familiarity with the real estate industry is a strong plus, but not required</li><li>Curious and coachable</li><li>Experience with a data-driven sales process</li></ul>WHY ALCHEMY?<ul><li>Sell something that actually works. As the membership grows, there will be additional opportunities to help scale Alchemy Tax by hiring and managing an elite team of tax professionals.Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: <ul><li>Execute the strategic vision, goals, and growth plans for Alchemy Tax</li><li>Lead your tax pod, consisting of a junior accountant, and tax admin, in achieving excellence in member service and financial performance</li><li>Assist in the hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development of additional team members as the Alchemy Tax division grows</li><li>Ensure Alchemy Tax adheres to industry regulations, standards, and best practices</li></ul>Business Development: <ul><li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the existing membership</li><li>Build and maintain strong member relationships to foster retention and growth</li><li>Meet with prospects, quote services, and convert new tax memberships</li></ul>Accounting: <ul><li>Provide expert guidance on accounting, tax, and financial matters to our members, who are real estate small business owners and investors and have a combination of S-Corps, C-Corps, and Partnership configurations for active and passive business ventures across multiple states</li><li>Review previous tax return(s)</li><li>Schedule live planning calls to provide strategic tax recommendations</li><li>Analyze financials and advise on deductions and credits, with expertise in common real estate tax areas such as cost segregation, Augusta rule, and 1031 exchanges</li><li>Review entity type and discuss changes if necessary</li><li>Recommend payroll adjustments</li><li>Manage encrypted member tax portal for safe collection and sharing of documents</li><li>Maximize any deductions available (home office deduction, family tax strategies, etc.)</li><li>Facilitate a mid-year tax true-up</li><li>Send reminders about quarterly tax payments</li><li>Analyze retirement plan contributions and make recommendations</li><li>Answer tax-related questions and help with responses to IRS notices</li><li>File state and federal tax returns</li><li>Ensure members receive top-tier service and handle escalated issues as necessary</li></ul>What makes you a perfect fit: <ul><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, or EA</li><li>5+ years of professional experience as a CPA or EA, 1-3 years management experience</li><li>Proven track record of client retention</li><li>Detail-oriented problem solver; can handle multiple priorities at once</li><li>Self-motivated and independent, taking pride in the quality of your work</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>The ability to follow up, follow through, and close the loop on outstanding items with our members</li><li>The desire to work in a different kind of accounting firm - one that prioritizes proactive communication, quick responses, and fast turnaround times on deliverables</li><li>Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new platforms such as our CRM</li><li>Start-up mentality, quick learner, and highly coachable</li></ul>We are remote first.
