Job Description</p><p>
This role will primarily support the Corporate FP&amp;A team with the preparation and analysis of key reports used by Senior Management and the Alcoa Board of Directors. Under the direction of the Director, Corporate FP&amp;A, this position will help deliver various internal and external financial metrics reports. We are looking for a candidate with moderate experience and exposure to Alcoa&rsquo;s financial process. In this position you will be exposed to the full breadth of Alcoa&rsquo;s operations and financials. The ideal candidate will be ready to move on in several years to a more advanced role within Alcoa Finance.</p><ul><li><p>
Maintain and develop support files used for reporting packages.</p></li><li><p>
Support and deliver financial analysis for Executive Team, tax, operations, strategy, etc.</p></li><li><p>
Note follow-up actions in finance reviews and coordinate with SPAs.</p></li><li><p>
Assist with action plans and timelines to complete forecasting and reporting requirements.</p></li><li><p>
Translate complex analysis into meaningful insights for all levels of the business.
</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Major activities/Key challenges</b></p><ul><li><p>
Assist in the delivery of standard reports during the closing, forecast, and planning cycles. This role will be directly involved in the preparation of the consolidated P&amp;L, cash forecast and associated metrics and will involve collecting, consolidating, and loading relevant information to Connected Planning.</p></li><li><p>
Assist in the maintenance and coordination of Alcoa&rsquo;s internal financial calendar used to govern the cadence of the FP&amp;A forecast and planning process.</p></li><li><p>
Assist with continuous improvement to our Connected Planning forecasting and reporting solution.</p></li><li><p>
Support delivery of key reporting to Investor Relations, Executive Team, and Board of Directors. Key deliverables will include preparation of variable compensation updates and earnings presentations.</p></li><li><p>
Develop new reporting/analysis as needed for new initiatives and businesses.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Essential Knowledge &amp; Skills/Education</b></p><ul><li><p>
Advanced knowledge of Excel</p></li><li><p>
Oracle Hyperion, EPM &ldquo;Connected Planning&rdquo;, or Essbase experience preferred.</p></li><li><p>
Understanding of financial statements (IS, B/S, CF) and Alcoa&rsquo;s operations</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>

This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working independently in a large industrial manufacturing environment, using computer skills, audit results, samples, and clear communication to help improve process stability, safety, and operational decision-making.
</p></div><p></p><div><p><b>About the Role</b></p></div><p></p><div><p>
As the Carbon Process Technician, you will be accountable for key processes and performance measures in the Carbon area. You will work closely with the hourly workforce, supervisors, management, production, maintenance, and support organizations to meet area objectives and support continuous process improvement. You will serve all areas of the Carbon plant by completing audits, observations, measurements, and sampling; organizing results into spreadsheets or other practical reporting formats; and sharing insights with supervisors and the process team to support troubleshooting and process changes.</p></div><div><p>
This is typically a weekday day-shift role, such as 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with limited overtime unless voluntary opportunities arise. You should expect to spend time in a large industrial plant environment that can be hot, dirty, and potentially hazardous. While the role is not expected to involve significant manual labor, strong safety awareness and comfort spending time in production areas are important.</p></div><p></p><div><p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Perform process audits, observations, measurements, and sampling across Carbon areas, ensuring required data is captured consistently across shifts.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Analyze audit and sample results, convert findings into score samples, spreadsheets, or concise summaries, and share results with supervision and the process team.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Investigate, diagnose, and help correct process issues, improving process stability and supporting hourly employees with accurate troubleshooting.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Partner with supervisors, operators, maintenance, production, management, and support organizations to support shift planning, work schedules, process control, and continuous improvement.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Provide practical feedback to operators and supervisors on process control performance and opportunities for improvement.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Work autonomously once audit and sampling schedules are established, taking accountability for completion, follow-up, and clear communication of issues or needed support.</p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><p><b>
What You Bring</b><b> to the Role</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
High school diploma or GED required.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Strong computer and digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and the ability to organize and summarize audit or sample data in spreadsheets or similar tools.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to interpret process information and support corrective actions.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and complete scheduled audits and samples reliably.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Effective interpersonal and communication skills to share findings with operators, supervisors, and the process team, and to raise issues early.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Exposure to large industrial manufacturing preferred, with smelter, Carbon, anode production, Carbon process, ABS, or Lean manufacturing knowledge helpful. Pot room experience and QLC Mobile or APG experience are not required. A commitment to safe work practices and comfort working in hot, dirty, and potentially hazardous production environments are important for success.</p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><p><b>
