Job Summary Aldon is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the procurement process, ensuring that materials and products are sourced effectively and efficiently to meet the company's operational needs. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of supply chain, and proficiency in ERP systems.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Verifying purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.</li><li>Forwarding available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.</li><li>Preparing purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.</li><li>Obtaining purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.</li><li>Verifying receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.</li><li>Authorizing payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation.</li><li>Maintaining procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories</li><li>Keeping information accessible by sorting and filing documents.</li><li>Determining method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid</li><li>Providing purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.</li><li>Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.</li><li>Accomplishing purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.</li><li>Discussing defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action</li><li>Approving invoices for payment</li><li>Expediting delivery of goods to users</li></ul>Full Time / Salary / ExemptShifts Available 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30 pmBenefits: health, dental/vision, 401k, 401k matching, Company paid life insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, annual PPE allowance, employee assistance program, growth opportunities, company training to further develop newly learned skills, work life balance.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:<ul><li>Day shift</li><li>Monday to Friday</li></ul>Work Location: In personJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Purchasing: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
