<div>Safety Engineer (Mission Critical)
What we are looking for:
A traveling Safety Professional to join our Mission Critical team. The Safety Professional serves in a dual role; where the initial objective is to operate in a consultative capacity, by providing expert support, guidance, and motivation to operations management and employees at all levels. In addition, along with management, the Safety Professional at AE is expected to be a &ldquo;hands on&rdquo; partner in delivering various safety initiatives and programs specifically to develop a safety culture supporting the goal and daily mission of Incident and Injury Free (&ldquo;Nobody Gets Hurt&rdquo;) in the course of any work performed by AE.
Your role at Aldridge will be to champion the Incident &amp; Injury Free culture. Lead and coordinate safety initiatives and related programs for a geographic region. Drive communication, planning, implementation, supervision, and measurement in compliance with corporate safety standards and procedures, OSHA and other federal and state regulations.
What you&rsquo;ll do:
<ul><li>Promote and be a steward of our organization&rsquo;s Incident and Injury Free (IIF) Culture and Core Values.</li>
<li>Administer and provide updated recommendations to both Divisional and Regional Operations regarding the Safety Management System, ensuring that rules and policies are in effect.</li>
<li>Perform regular safety training sessions and hold toolbox talks with crews at show ups or on job sites.</li>
<li>Conduct new employee safety orientations for multiple disciplines within the organization.</li>
<li>Perform regular job site inspections/observations of all crews to identify unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices, documenting the visits in our LMS and forwarding to various management and administrative personnel.</li>
<li>Coordinate supplemental inspections whenever new processes, equipment, or substances are introduced or new or previously unrecognized hazards are identified.</li>
<li>Help complete project safety preplans and hazard analysis with managers, supervisors, and foremen for new jobs.</li>
<li>Verify that corrective measures are completed in a timely fashion for any hazards identified.</li>
<li>Assist in investigating injuries and illnesses to determine cause and take action(s) to prevent recurrence.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with the Hazards Communication Program, Emergency Action Plan, Fire Prevention Plan, Confined Space Entry Program, Trenching and Excavation Program, and any other programs required by OSHA and the Corporate Safety, Health and Environment Department.</li>
<li>Submit weekly status reports to the Group Safety Manager and RSM specifying projects completed during the week.</li>
<li>Ensure that adequate First Aid supplies and fire extinguishers are maintained on company vehicles and in local office facilities.</li>
<li>Act as a liaison between our company and General and Subcontractors.</li>
<li>Lead change in the safety culture to drive down injury rates and increase morale.</li>
<li>Maintain PPE order forms and stock.</li>
</ul>Who you are:
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in an Occupational Safety and Health discipline (e.g. OS&amp;H Management, Human Factors, Construction) from a four-year college or university; and/or minimum of 1-3 years&rsquo; direct experience in Construction Safety and Occupational Health disciplines.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel.</li>
<li>On the Job experience, professional certifications and a degree in Safety &amp; Health will be considered for purposes of substituting for experience requirements.</li>
<li>Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal, and OSHA requirements.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.</li>
<li>Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done.</li>
<li>The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.</li>
<li>Must have a working knowledge of computers and experience in Microsoft Office Suite 2010 (i.e., Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel).</li>
<li>Must be eligible to be granted a security clearance if warranted.</li>

What we offer:
The annual base pay for this role is between $70,000 - $90,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. Aldridge is seeking Assistant Project Managers to join our Winter 2027 Assistant Project Manager Bootcamp! Are you passionate about building great projects and discovering new places? At Aldridge, we're looking for Assistant Project Managers who thrive in dynamic environments and are excited to travel and join our dedicated project teams.
The APM Bootcamp is designed for new Assistant Project Managers (APMs), offering a structured pathway into the Aldridge project lifecycle. This 15-week program integrates new hires into our processes through a combination of traditional classroom training, interactive activities, and on-the-job mentorship. Participants will gain essential skills and knowledge to thrive in their roles and contribute effectively to our projects.
The 15-week program is structured to include 6 weeks of classroom instruction and 9 weeks of on-the-job site experience. Classroom sessions are held in Illinois, primarily at our Des Plaines office, with occasional sessions at our Lake Forest headquarters. The program generally follows a rotation of one classroom week followed by two weeks on the jobsite at your assigned location within the United States, with occasional variations such as consecutive classroom weeks or a three-week jobsite rotation.
 
Upon successful completion of the program, participants transition into a full-time role on their assigned project. Aldridge currently operates across 32 states. 
 
 
Job Purpose:
Contribute to the successful delivery of projects by supporting project teams in various tasks throughout the project life cycle, ensuring quality projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while fostering a work environment that reflects Aldridge&rsquo;s Core Values.
What you&rsquo;ll do:
<ul><li>Promote safe job sites and work closely with the Safety personnel to ensure that all safety concerns are properly addressed</li>
<li>Support Project Management on essential project duties including cost and labor tracking, document control, material submittals, subcontractor management, contract compliance, schedule adherence, and project closeout</li>
<li>Support Field Leadership on essential project duties including project planning / WBS creation meetings, material logistics, subcontractor coordination, customer communications, productivity tracking, and Aldridge internal department coordination</li>
<li>Cultivate strong working relationships and promote effective teamwork amongst Aldridge and our partners</li>
<li>Adopt established Aldridge processes and guidelines
</li></ul>Who you are:
<ul><li>Wiling to travel</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Management or other related major, or equivalent construction or trade background.</li>
<li>Internships or other relevant work experience preferred</li>
<li>Aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities and creatively problem solve
