Job Title: Senior Purchase Strategic Sourcing Engineer &ndash; Surface Grinding Machines Location: Mumbai, India Experience: 8 &ndash; 10 YearsAbout Us: Join a leading manufacturer of high-precision surface grinding machines. We focus on innovation, world-class quality, and delivering machines that set industry benchmarks.Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Engineer to drive local and global sourcing of machine components and implement cost-saving initiatives. The candidate will manage suppliers, optimize costs, and coordinate closely with Design, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely and first-time-right component availability.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Source and procure critical components: castings, fabricated parts, electricals, hydraulics, bearings, linear motion systems, spindles, and other machine parts.</li><li>Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers; conduct audits, capability assessments, and quality checks.</li><li>Lead cost reduction and value engineering projects, including localization, alternate vendor development, and supplier negotiation.</li><li>Work with Design, Production, and Quality teams for part validation, design rectification, and assembly readiness.</li><li>Track supplier performance, ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance.</li><li>Maintain sourcing data and reports using advanced MS Excel; ERP experience is a plus.</li><li>Implement continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supplier management.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.</li><li>8 &ndash; 10 years&rsquo; experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably in machine tools or heavy machinery.</li><li>Strong negotiation, analytical, and cost management skills.</li><li>Experience in domestic and international sourcing.</li><li>Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced).</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;50,000.00 - &#8377;80,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
