Interior Design position with sales background available with Alfred&rsquo;s Carpet &amp; Decorating. We are Ames&rsquo; largest locally-owned flooring store with over thirty years of residential and commercial sales and design experience. We are seeking an energetic full-time interior designer or sales associate to assist with retail flooring sales in our showroom.Qualifications:<ul><li>Interior Design Background or degree preferred</li><li>Applicants with marketing and prior flooring sales experience preferred</li><li>Experience with Excel, Office, AutoCAD and/or Revit</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as a team</li><li>Confident, energetic personality</li></ul>Position responsibilities may include but not limited to:<ul><li>Assisting clients with flooring design and selections, including design consultation on paint schemes, cabinets and countertops.</li><li>Work as a team with other Designers with projects.</li><li>In-home consultations with selected clients.</li><li>Maintaining our showroom readiness and ordering materials for clients.</li><li>Commercial flooring design consultation with local businesses.</li><li>Experience preferred but willing to train the right person.</li><li>Pay based on experience.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Parental leave</li></ul>Compensation Package:<ul><li>Bonus opportunities</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Ames, IA 50010 (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Ames, IA 50010: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
