About the Role
The Client Leader is responsible for managing and retaining a high-value client portfolio. The deliver strategic solutions to align with client goals, and drive customer success, value, revenue growth, and retention. They oversee Absence Management clients, foster strategic partnerships, and leverage expertise in Alight&rsquo;s solutions with a focus on delivering impactful outcomes. 
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Developing and building meaningful and trusted relationships across internal teams, customer stakeholders, and key influential third-party stakeholders.</li><li>
Leading through influence; persuades, motivates, and inspires action toward desired outcomes.</li><li>
Asking provocative questions to uncover and understand the client&rsquo;s business goals, priorities, and desired outcomes.</li><li>
Anticipating the client&rsquo;s needs and effectively positioning solutions to drive value maximization, retention, and revenue growth.</li><li>
Advocating and connecting capabilities, support, and/or services for clients. Advocates internally and facilitates the involvement of Sales, Delivery, and other functions to achieve common goals.</li><li>
Consulting with clients regularly on best practices to increase product adoption and utilization.</li><li>
Identifying opportunities for expansion of solutions to support and drive the client&rsquo;s desired business outcomes.</li><li>
Owning the Account Health strategy for assigned client accounts. Proactively monitors and identifies client retention risk. Designs and executes success plans to resolve issues and mitigate risk.</li><li>
Leading the strategy, preparation and execution of Quarterly Client Business Reviews (QBRs).</li><li>
Leading the renewal strategy for assigned book of business.</li></ul>
Requirements<ul><li>
Have bachelor&rsquo;s or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in client, broker, or account relationship management for complex, high-value portfolios.</li><li>
Demonstrate expertise in strategic client relationship management, including building and maintaining executive-level partnerships with clients, brokers, and key stakeholders.</li><li>
Display ability to develop and execute client delivery strategies that drive customer success, operational excellence, revenue growth, retention, and client satisfaction.</li><li>
Possess leadership and team management skills, with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. Be able to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.</li><li>
Demonstrate advanced communication, presentation, and influencing skills, including the ability to engage effectively with C-suite executives. Be able to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.</li><li>
Have business, financial, and analytical acumen. Demonstrate the ability to interpret data, manage financial performance, identify risks, and translate insights into actionable strategies.</li><li>
Have experience in Absence Management services and related business operations. This should include the ability to consult clients on industry trends, best practices, compliance, and legislative changes.</li><li>
Demonstrate ability to successfully lead in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments, balancing multiple priorities while driving high-quality outcomes and operational effectiveness.</li><li>
Have experience overseeing cross-functional projects and client governance activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives.</li><li>
Display advanced solution-oriented mindset and change leadership capabilities. Demonstrate ability to identify opportunities, resolve complex issues, drive innovation, and maximize the value clients receive from products and services.</li></ul>

 About The Role
 
 
 
 This role is critical in supporting members through high-quality clinical case management and coordination of expert medical opinions. This position involves reviewing complex medical cases, ensuring clinical completeness, and facilitating the delivery of expert insights. This is done through collaboration with physicians and internal teams.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Managing assigned Care Team case workload from intake through completion. Ensuring cases meet established timelines, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance guarantees (PGs).
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintaining knowledge of workflows, clinical operations, and organizational policies and procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrating ownership of case progression and timely delivery of services.
 </li>
 <li>
 Evaluating medical records and imaging for completeness and clinical quality. Reviewing, interpreting, and synthesizing complex medical records.
 </li>
 <li>
 Creating clear, concise, and structured written case summaries. Identifying gaps in records and determine when additional information or testing is required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Triaging cases to the appropriate clinical specialty and consulting physician.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborating with physicians, summary coordinators, and healthcare navigation teams. Ensuring all clinical components are aligned for accurate expert delivery.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicating effectively within the nursing team and cross-functional partners. Escalating issues, risks, or concerns to leadership as appropriate.
 </li>
 <li>
 Adhering to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements in accordance with company policies. Ensuring compliance with all operational and clinical standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participating in quality improvement initiatives and organizational projects.

 Requirements

 Possess BSN in Nursing required or currently in progress.
 </li>
 <li>
 Hold active RN license in good standing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Have experience managing relationships with external clients or partners.
 </li>
 <li>
 Have experience reviewing and analyzing complex patient medical records.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrate good attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Display excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Possess dynamic customer service orientation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Have ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Be comfortable in an urgent, evolving operational setting and flexible to changing priorities.

Responsibilities<ul><li>
Leading LOA, STD, ADA, and/or LTD Appeals service teams.</li><li>
Developing strategy and business plans to deliver market-centric capabilities and processes.</li><li>
Working with broader organization and external parties to identify and gaps and develop a plan to address. Anticipating future trends and challenges, developing and implementing strategies to address opportunities.</li><li>
Assessing and evaluated business/technology partners to integrate products on various platforms. Developing and recommended Claims and Service level strategies and tactics.</li><li>
Demonstrating expertise in accurate Appeals Claim Management.
</li><li>Collaborating with peers and senior leadership to deliver exceptional service.</li><li>
Managing Appeals departmental budget and plan effectively for responsible growth.</li><li>
Enhancing the Claims team through regular business updates to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Fostering a culture of trust within the team.</li><li>
Establishing performance metrics with clear systems of measures and accountabilities that drive results.</li><li>
Ensuring that an effective system of regulatory compliance and internal controls have been maintained. Complying with applicable laws and regulations, and documented procedures that incorporated preventive and defective controls. Partnering with Regulatory Compliance and Risk Committees.</li></ul>
Requirements<ul><li>
Possess advanced education, equivalent work experience, training, or DMEC certification.</li><li>
Have experience of 10 years in claims/appeals and 7 years leadership in absence management.</li><li>
Display qualifications or experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, or a medical field.</li><li>
Hold Lean Six Sigma Certification and or formal Operations Strategy training.</li><li>
Have experience in leadership of a team of Managers within Appeals. This position oversees a total organization or roughly 40 professionals.</li></ul>
