Job SummaryNon-profit domestic violence agency seeking a compassionate and experienced Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide immediate crisis intervention services and case management to domestic abuse victims via crisis line and in-person communication. The Specialist will conduct client intake assessments, develop safety plans, provide referrals and education, document service provision, and collect/report data for grantsResponsibilities<ul><li>Respond promptly to crisis calls and emergency situations, providing immediate intervention and de-escalation techniques.</li><li>Provide immediate crisis intervention services to crisis line callers and clients through the crisis line and in-person communication</li><li>Conduct client intake assessments, develop safety plans, provide referrals and education, document service provision, and collect/report data for grants</li><li>Facilitate client access to the ALIVE Nights of Safety program</li><li>Provide crisis intervention and case management to Nights of Safety clients</li><li>Facilitate access to other agency services (court advocacy, crime victim&rsquo;s compensation, transportation, etc.)</li><li>Attend/Participate in mandatory team meetings and trainings</li><li>Assist with volunteer training, as needed</li><li>Communicate and coordinate with interns/volunteers to provide seamless client services</li><li>Complete office task for Nights Of Safety daily</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>BSW, BA in Psychology, or equivalent credentials</li><li>1+ years of domestic violence advocacy work</li><li>Knowledge of trauma-informed services</li><li>Ability to work with diverse populations, particularly those with limited economic resources</li><li>Knowledge of community resources</li><li>An understanding of domestic violence and the ability to articulate the ALIVE philosophy of empowerment</li><li>Ability to work an adjusted schedule in the office and/or periodic shifts (as crisis line back-up) from home as needed</li><li>Strong organizational and case management skills</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, socio-economic levels, and abilities</li><li>Valid driver's license and own transportation (not for client transport)</li><li>Transportation and ability to travel between offices, emergency sanctuary, and client resource sites required</li><li>Must be able to work occasional weekends and or/weekends as required by volunteer, community, and/or agency needs</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodations</li><li>Must be able to use computer and/or tablet technology; including case management software, MS Office applications, e-mail, and other standard or proprietary programs</li></ul>Benefits:&middot; Salary 35,000 -40,000 annually&middot; Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance&middot; Opportunities for professional developmentSchedule:&middot; 8-hour shift, days&middot; Weekend availabilityPay: Up to $40,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
