In this role, you will lead a classroom of young learners, creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports each child&rsquo;s growth.Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead the classroom and create a warm, nurturing environment for young children.</li><li>Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and projects.</li><li>Develop lesson plans aligned with the school&rsquo;s philosophy and approach.</li><li>Create inviting classroom setups with thoughtful provocations and learning experiences.</li><li>Foster children&rsquo;s social, emotional, cognitive development.</li><li>Maintain strong, positive relationships with families.</li><li>Communicate regularly with families and provide updates on progress.</li><li>Lead parent-teacher conferences and complete developmental assessments.</li><li>Collaborate with teaching team throughout the day to support children&rsquo;s needs.</li><li>Participate in twice-monthly head teacher meetings and monthly full staff meetings.</li><li>Support diapering, toilet training, and daily care routines.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.</li><li>Manage the physical demands of the role, including lifting (up to 30 lbs) and active engagement with children.</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required.</li><li>Availability to begin in August 2026 and participate in any required pre-start onboarding or training.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in Early Childhood Education required.</li><li>Strong understanding of child development.</li><li>Experience with or exposure to Reggio-inspired learning preferred.</li><li>CDA certification preferred.</li><li>Hebrew language skills preferred but not required.</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.</li><li>Ability to commute to Tenafly, NJ and work in person.</li></ul>Schedule: Monday &ndash; Friday 8:30 am &ndash; 2:30 pmWhy work at Temple Sinai Early Childhood Center: <ul><li>Paid time off, plus Jewish and Federal holidays.</li><li>Employer-paid or partially paid health, dental, and/or vision insurance.</li><li>Tuition reimbursement opportunities.</li><li>Supportive leadership and mentorship..</li><li>Strong, relationship-driven school culture.</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development.</li></ul>If you&rsquo;re looking to join a supportive, relationship-driven school where your work is valued and your impact is felt every day, we would love to connect with you.
