We are seeking an experienced Commercial Office Designer / Space Planner to join our Office Solutions team in Raleigh, NC. This role is ideal for a design professional who enjoys creating functional, efficient, and visually appealing workplace environments while collaborating closely with clients, sales teams, and project stakeholders.</p><p>
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing commercial office spaces, specifying furniture solutions, and managing projects from concept through installation. We are looking for a team-oriented professional with strong technical design skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><b>

Key Responsibilities</b></h2><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Workplace Design &amp; Space Planning</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Design commercial office environments that align with client goals, operational needs, and budget requirements.</p></li><li><p>
Develop space plans, furniture layouts, and workstation configurations utilizing industry-standard design software.</p></li><li><p>
Create accurate floor plans, furniture specifications, and installation drawings.</p></li><li><p>
Incorporate existing furniture and assets into workplace designs when appropriate.</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Furniture Specification &amp; Project Coordination</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Specify commercial furniture, finishes, and accessories that support project objectives and workplace functionality.</p></li><li><p>
Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams to identify the best solutions for each project.</p></li><li><p>
Prepare furniture specifications, product recommendations, and supporting documentation.</p></li><li><p>
Place and track furniture orders to ensure timely delivery and successful project execution.</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Client &amp; Team Collaboration</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Partner with clients, sales representatives, and project teams throughout the design process.</p></li><li><p>
Present design concepts, space plans, and furniture solutions to clients.</p></li><li><p>
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines.</p></li><li><p>
Take ownership of project timelines, deliverables, and weekly workload management.</p></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h2><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Required</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Minimum of 2 years of commercial office design, furniture specification, or space planning experience.</p></li><li><p>
Degree or equivalent experience in Interior Design, Commercial Design, Architecture, or a related field.</p></li><li><p>
Strong knowledge of commercial furniture systems, workplace design principles, and space planning.</p></li><li><p>
Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAP 2020.</p></li><li><p>
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.</p></li><li><p>
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Preferred</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Experience working for a commercial furniture dealership or office solutions provider.</p></li><li><p>
Familiarity with major furniture manufacturers and product lines.</p></li><li><p>
