Title: Middle School Science TeacherReports to: Head of Middle SchoolFull-Time, 10-month positionStart date: August 1, 2026 for the 2026-27 school yearAll Saints&rsquo; is looking for a middle school science teacher with a passion for working with students, a strong background in science, and a depth of experience in teaching. We value candidates who are passionate about middle school, and are innovative and knowledgeable about making science come alive both in and out of the classroom. Successful candidates can facilitate learning by recognizing individual needs and helping students develop in-depth problem-solving and analytical skills.We place a high value on community and seek candidates with excellent interpersonal skills who work well with students, colleagues, and parents. This full-time position will teach, advise a group of 10&ndash;12 students, and participate in other responsibilities of being an independent school educator. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a collaborative team.Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in science, education, or a related field; master&rsquo;s degree preferred</li><li>Education, training, and/or experience in student engagement and differentiation</li><li>Successful experience teaching science to students in grades 5&ndash;8</li><li>Ability to integrate technology to transform instruction and student learning</li><li>Creativity, passion for the subject matter, and a positive attitude</li><li>An appreciation for and an understanding of the social, emotional, educational, and developmental needs of learners ages 10&ndash;14</li><li>Ability to lift over 50 lbs.</li></ul>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Innovation and LeadershipProfessional Growth<ul><li>Commit to expertise and growth in discipline content and methodology.</li><li>Engage in regular, meaningful dialogue with colleagues around best practices and professional growth.</li></ul>Curriculum and ProgramInstructional Management<ul><li>Create dynamic science lessons that engage, support, and challenge students using a variety of curricula and instructional methods.</li><li>Maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered academic environment that supports diverse learners and focuses on individualized growth.</li><li>Develop and utilize learning outcomes for specified curriculum. Maintain strong standards that focus on teaching meaning, problem-solving, and thinking in addition to strong skills.</li><li>Integrate and use technology to enhance student learning and achievement.</li><li>Plan instructional activities in collaboration with grade-level colleagues and attend weekly collaborative planning meetings.</li><li>Teach an elective aligned with the content area or student interest.</li><li>Demonstrate a passion for subject content, skill mastery, and foster a love of learning.</li></ul>Student and Team Student Support<ul><li>Manage an advisory of 10&ndash;12 students.</li><li>Plan activities in collaboration with the grade-level advisory team and attend regular collaborative planning meetings.</li><li>Provide before-school or after-school assistance to students as needed.</li><li>Understand and implement Student Success Plans with the support of our Learning Support Services Department.</li><li>Maintain ongoing, respectful, and proactive communication with parents; schedule meetings as necessary with parents to address concerns.</li><li>Participate in field trips and other curriculum-enhancing activities, including field trips which may consist of overnight class trips.</li><li>Fulfill student supervision duties as assigned.</li></ul>Administrative Tasks<ul><li>Prepare grade reports, progress reports, attendance reports, and other such reports promptly and in accordance with school policy or at the request of the division head.</li><li>Execute all duties promptly, attend meetings (during and after school), and participate in committees and sponsor after-school clubs as needed or directed by the Head of Middle School or Head of School</li><li>Participate in All Saints&rsquo; community activities outside of school hours</li></ul>Mission and Culture<ul><li>Promote and maintain a collegial, educational environment throughout the campus.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues and administration following the expectations stated in the All Saints&rsquo; Faculty/Staff Norms.</li><li>Abide by the spirit and policies in the Employee Handbook.</li><li>Uphold the spirit and guidelines of The All Saints&rsquo; Way.</li></ul>Application Process and MaterialsWith approximately 100 full-time faculty and staff serving 550 students, our campus is buzzing with activity.
