Job Summary:</div><ul><li>
Allegion India is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to execute VAVE projects for Schlage products of NA region</li><li>
Responsible for the ideation, design, development, and technical analysis of low to moderate scope and complexity, either independently or with team. Contribute to multiple projects, Generate VAVE ideas, evaluate, analyze, and develop design concepts for components, and assemblies</li><li>
Must have a full understanding of their area of specialization; should have a significant focus on further growing and developing their technical skills and gaining experience</li><li>
Expected to proactively collaborate with others on routine work and are accountable to incorporate into design to meet the quality and schedules</li><li>
Actively seek out opportunities to increase productivity by suggesting and driving improvements within the platform, technical practices and delivery procedures</li></ul><div></div><div>
Key Accountabilities:</div><ul><li>
Contribute to multiple projects, involving single components or subsystems related to VAVE projects</li><li>
Under the direction of the senior engineers / project leads efforts to implement projects for the different businesses</li><li>
Develops working knowledge of product family in assigned area, with awareness of system design</li><li>
Work closely with Product Managers, Sourcing, Marketing and Manufacturing teams to develop and deliver projects to launch</li><li>
Keep up to date and work with Engineering team to implement the latest market technologies and industry standards</li><li>
Keep abreast of technology, materials and process development in related and aligned areas to our business</li></ul><div></div><div>
Job Specification: Job Knowledge/Technical Skills/Qualifications</div><ul><li>
Must be a BE/BTech in mechanical engineering at a minimum from a reputed university</li><li>
3 - 5 years of experience in working on mechanical product development involving plastic, sheet metal and diecast components</li><li>
Desired to have basic understanding of all phases of product development processes - initiation, requirements management, concepting, detailed design, verification &amp; validation, handing over for production with accountability of deliverables across phases</li><li>
Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment</li><li>
Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment and expected to maintain a close, working partnership with other functional departments</li><li>
Proficient with 3D CAD software (preferably CREO) and Windchill</li><li>
Good communication and presentation skills</li><li>
Demonstrated strong analytical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>
Good working knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals, DFMEA, ECN, GD&amp;T, drawing for production, tolerance analysis, Engineering Calculations and other product development associated techniques and tools</li><li>
Good knowledge on different Manufacturing processes &ndash; Sheetmetal, Die cast, Injection molding, Machining, etc.</li><li>
Good knowledge of Materials and Material selection approach</li><li>
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a bonus</li><li>
Strong in related engineering subjects such as Strength of materials, Kinematics/Dynamics, free body diagrams, Engineering Calculations etc.</li><li>
Good knowledge of Design of Manufacturing &amp; Assembly, Tolerance analysis, GD&amp;T and other product development associated techniques and tools</li><li>
Good knowledge of DFMEA, Design verification plans/Product testing</li><li>
Quickly learn established engineering processes (like Product development process - ECN, BOM, RFQ, etc.), standards, methods and procedures needed to accomplish assigned tasks with discipline</li><li>
Be able to prioritize work, meet agreed project timelines, cost and quality</li><li>
Ability to develop Innovative Ideas, out of the box thinking / Ideation / concept generation</li><li>

CAD Designer &ndash; Allegion / Technical Glass Products &ndash; Snoqualmie, WA</div><div></div><div>
As a CAD Designer at TGP you will be primarily responsible for executing engineered-to-order projects throughout the design and manufacturing lifecycle. Through extensive use of AutoCAD, Inventor and/or Creo 3D software you will create 2D/3D models of new architectural products, create assembly and part drawings, bills of materials and exploded view illustrations. The position will be part of a high performing and collaborative engineering team. You will work closely with other internal departments to ensure the same superior quality is captured. In depth knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (or Creo) and extensive use of Excel and other calculation tools are required. Soft Tech V6 Configurator or having experience with a design configurator experience is a bonus. Extensive prior experience in architectural and/or manufacturing environments will be crucial to your success.</div><div></div><div>
What You Will Do:</div><ul><li>
Design and deliver revenue project engineering documentation to the highest standards and in line with TGP processes. This must be delivered in a timely manner within the engineering cycle lead times.</li><li>
Manage and execute your engineered-to-order backlog to drive throughput of orders in a quality manner.</li><li>
Provide exceptional internal and external customer service.</li><li>
As a team contributor, aid in the creation, development, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures for the Engineering department including but not limited to; engineering best practices, standardizing workflow, project and product specific methodologies, documentation and revision control.</li><li>
This role will focus on ETO degree of difficulty&rsquo;s 0,1, and 2.</li><li>
Site visits to evaluate installation or products in the field.</li></ul><div></div><div>
What You Need to Succeed:</div><ul><li>
Technology degree preferred or equivalent experience related to drafting &amp; design.</li><li>
GD&amp;T (geometric dimensioning &amp; tolerancing) experience.</li><li>
Extensive experience in CAD design and 3D solid modeling in a fast paced, high quality, manufacturing environment.</li><li>
Advanced computer skills, including at minimum: Autodesk Inventor 2012 or newer, Autodesk AutoCAD 2012 or newer, Creo, MS Office.</li><li>
Prepare fabrication (part) drawings, or coordinate drawing info for conversion to CNC programing.</li><li>
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and create complex documents, specifications, blueprints, and architectural drawings.</li><li>
A driven self-starter dedicated to high quality and process improvement.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
An ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and filter key information.</li><li>
Ability to quickly read, learn, analyze and interpret documents and specifications.</li><li>
Ability to build team relationships and actively extract key information from multiple resources.</li><li>
Strong planning and organization skills.</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.</li><li>
Majority of work involves sitting at a computer for extended periods of time in an office environment. Periodic visits to the manufacturing shop are required for consulting with others on projects under construction. The noise level in the office environment is low moderate.
