Qualifications:</b></div><div>
1. Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college, business or technical school; or two to three years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</div><div>
2. Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.</div><div>
3. Ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.</div><div>
4. Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions with a high degree of independence.</div><div>
5. Proficiency in utilizing Internet resources for research and collecting information on procedures and documents from other districts or organizations.</div><div>
6. Proficient understanding or functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (O365). Google suite. AI language models, including but not limited to: MS Copilot, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, etc.</div><div>
7. Experience with or ability to learn collaborative platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Google Workspace. Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is highly desirable.</div><div>
8. Strong organizational and time management skills with a high degree of attention to detail.</div><div>
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional demeanor.</div><div>
10. Consistent record of satisfactory work performance.</div><div>
11. Satisfactory criminal and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151).</div><div>

Summary</b><br>
Supports the designated administrator by performing responsibilities that include, but are not limited to answering and screening phone calls; coordinating staff schedules and appointments; filing and maintaining correspondence; assisting with the management of budget, grant and/or programs and coordinating varied aspects of the office through the duties listed below.<br>
<br>
<b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></div><div>
1. Manages incoming and outgoing correspondence, both physical and digital. Reviews, prioritizes, and routes mail, and attaches appropriate files or documents for supervisor's attention.</div><div>
2. Maintains accurate and confidential records and databases in compliance with local, state, and/or federal requirements.</div><div>
3. Organizes and maintains digital and physical file systems, ensuring correspondence and other records are easily accessible.</div><div>
4. Assists with tracking and maintaining budgets, generating invoices, and processing purchase requisitions as needed.</div><div>
5. Retrieves, enters, and generates reports from enterprise-level systems, including Human Resource, Financial Management, and/or Student Information Systems.</div><div>
6. Composes, proofreads, and edits professional correspondence, emails, and reports.</div><div>
7. Serves as a primary point of contact and professional liaison, communicating with a variety of partners such as parents, vendors/contractors, foundation staff, and external partners via in-person, phone, and virtual channels.</div><div>
8. Answers and screens the supervisor's telephone calls and arranges virtual or traditional conference calls.</div><div>
9. Manages the supervisor's calendar and coordinates appointments using a digital scheduling system.</div><div>
10. Greets scheduled visitors in a professional manner and directs them to the appropriate area or person.</div><div>
11. Coordinates and arranges travel logistics, including reservations for transportation and lodging.</div><div>
12. Performs a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.</div><div>
13. Conducts research, compiles data, and prepares statistical reports and presentations as required.</div><div>
14. Coordinates and arranges meetings, including virtual meetings via video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom). Prepares meeting agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records or transcribes minutes of meetings.</div><div>
15. Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including bulk mailings, faxes, and email communications.</div><div>
16. Orders and maintains office supplies and arranges for equipment maintenance and repairs.</div><div>
17. IT Help Desk support, including: Creating Workorder/Tickets, resetting passwords, setting up Virtual meeting and conferences.</div><div>
18. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the supervisor.</div><div><b><i><br>

<b>Summary</b><br>
An instructional paraprofessional is a school employee who works under the direction of a certificated staff member to support and assists in providing instructional, behavioral, and functional programs and services to children with disabilities or eligible young children. The support and assistance include one-on-one or group review of material taught by certificated staff, classroom management and implementation of positive behavior support plans. Services may be provided in a special education class, regular education class or other instructional setting (e.g., community-based instruction) as provided in the student's IEP. Instructional paraprofessionals shall meet one of the following qualifications:<br>
<br>
<ul><li> Have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary study.</li><li> Possess an associate degree or higher.</li><li> Meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a State or local assessment.</li><li> Participate in 20 hours of approved staff development activities annually.</li></ul><br>
<b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Assist the principal and other professionals in maintaining a safe and orderly school environment.</li><li>
Assist the special education and regular education teachers in the delivery of appropriate instructional and tutorial strategies as per the individualized educational plan (IEP).</li><li>
Under the direction of the teacher, provide instructional support for the purpose of supporting/reinforcing lessons (e.g., administering tests, tutoring or reinforcing instruction).</li><li>
Under the direction of the teacher, collect observational and academic data for the purpose of progress monitoring.</li><li>
Maintain students' files/records for the purpose of documenting activities and/or providing reliable information.</li><li>
Under the direction of the teacher, follow and implement positive behavior support plans.</li><li>
Handle students' personal needs (e.g., feeding, toileting, diapering, etc.) for the purpose of providing care to students who may or may not have medical conditions, but the medical concern is not the primary orientation for the student.</li><li>
Assist students' safe transitions from/to locations and environments within and around the school (e.g., bus, cafeteria, community-based instruction, etc.).</li><li>
Participate in specialized training related to specific individualized needs of eligible students with IEPs.</li><li>
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations/Chapter 14.</li><li>
Respond appropriately to emergency situations as per standing orders and other policies and procedures.</li><li>
Perform such other tasks within the expectation of this job category and/or assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Superintendent of Schools, principal, or Director of Special Education.</li><li>
When another paraprofessional (personal care assistant or educational interpreter) assigned within the building is absent (short-term), the administrator of the building may reassign other paraprofessionals to support special education students based on a priority of needs.</li><li>
If the instructional paraprofessional is assigned to work with one student and the student is absent, the administrator of the building may reassign the paraprofessional during the absence of the student within special education.</li><li>
Perform such other tasks within the expectation of this job category and/or assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Superintendent of Schools, principal, or Director of Special Education.</li></ul><div><br>
