Very busy Allergy/Immunology specialty practice seeking 1 full time Medical Receptionist.Works under the supervision of the Practice Manager/Coordinator. Is responsible for being able to multitask and all clerical activities. Public/guest relations and communications are key components of the job. Performs other clerical duties, such as pulling and filing charts, handling multiple line switchboard, email, Microsoft office, occasional assistance to manager, coordinator, co-workers and providers.Description<ul><li>May perform receptionist, scheduling, registration and medical record duties to support practice operations.</li><li>Verifies data and assists with completing forms/letters requested by patients.</li><li>Obtains and updates demographic, billing and third party coverage information. Explains policies and procedures to patients, families, and visitors as needed.</li><li>Files records, correspondence and reports into the medical record after completion of patient visit and maintains file system in order.</li><li>Copies medical records as needed.</li><li>Answers and screens incoming telephone calls, takes accurate and thorough messages. Promptly triages emergency telephone calls.</li><li>Schedules procedures. Instructs patients and families regarding preparation for procedure and post procedure needs.</li><li>Listens courteously and responds to patient questions, concerns, and or refers to the appropriate individual.</li><li>Arranges referrals and completes required referral paperwork.</li><li>Keeps work and waiting areas neat and organized.</li><li>Calls patients to remind them of procedure appointments, calls about test results as directed by the physician, may also schedule testing.</li><li>Follows up on missed appointments</li><li>Assist with billing and or patient flow as needed.</li></ul>Hours:Monday- 9:45 am-6:00pmTuesday-8:45am-5:00pmWednesday- 8:45am-5:00pmThursday-8:45am-5:00pmFriday- 7:45am-3:30pmQualificationsHigh School Equivalent/GED. 1-3 years of experience preferred.
