 Insurance Operations/Accounting &ndash; Directing, reviewing and performing the GAAP/STAT accounting for Alternative Investment products, with a focus on Commercial Mortgage Loans, as well as Regulatory Reporting and full valuations of Insurance Client Assets. Researching new US GAAP and STAT Accounting requirements and establishing project plan for implementing. Also performs analysis and advisory services for new product development and potential external clients.

 Prime Responsibilities

   Support accounting for a sizeable Commercial Mortgage Loan book
  </li>
  <li>
   Oversight of the technical configuration into Clearwater Analytics from servicer and AB systems
  </li>
  <li>
   Day to day oversight of the Clearwater processing for Commercial Mortgage Loan activity and data which ultimately feeds client ledger and Schedule B reporting
  </li>
  <li>
   Running data integrity checks in Clearwater to ensure that all security master and loan attributes are accurately populated for the CML assets
  </li>
  <li>
   Suspense account reconciliation to custodian
  </li>
  <li>
   Open Payable/Receivable monitoring with Commercial Mortgage Loan Operations team
  </li>
  <li>
   Client account ledger reconciliation
  </li>
  <li>
   Processing entries to Equitable accounting interface (journal entries) into the General Ledger
  </li>
  <li>
   Work within AB to develop processes and controls for new products, with focus on Commercial Mortgage Loans
  </li>
  <li>
   Work with internal and external audit teams for SOX and Substantive audits
  </li>

   Ensuring data &amp; reporting are delivered timely and accurately with focus on monthly/quarterly/year-end activities

Summary of Role</div><div>
AllianceBernstein is seeking an Economist focusing on Emerging Asia (excluding China). The Emerging Market Economic Research team is a global organization with team members in London and New York. Our economists systematically identify and analyse macroeconomic and financial market trends and investment opportunities in fixed income and currency markets. They work closely with our portfolio managers to translate macro trends and market dislocations into appropriate risk exposures in client portfolios. Our emerging market economists collaborate closely with corporate credit analysts and across investment teams to leverage their sovereign knowledge and skills for all our fixed income strategies.</div><div>
Responsibilities</div><ul><li><div>
Provide economic and financial market forecasts for Emerging Asian economies (excluding China). Focus countries include Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand, but coverage could expand based on investment opportunities.</div></li><li><div>
Develop comprehensive investment narratives and investment recommendations across asset classes (external debt, local debt, currencies), leveraging our proprietary systematic frameworks.</div></li><li><div>

The candidate will be involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining the Varicent ICM solution for our Private Wealth Sales Compensation teams. This is a high-visibility solution that services our Private Wealth Sales teams. The role requires interaction with the Private Wealth Sales Compensation administration team, service providers, and Finance Technology team members. Varicent ICM is our platform for Private Wealth Sales Compensation, and the candidate will be required to learn its implementation, as well as optimize, enhance, and support it.</div><div></div><div><br>
