We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration &amp; inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting &amp; installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry. 
We are looking for Equipment Operators who will play a key role in all aspects of construction services on infrastructure projects, performing skilled functions such as working in the construction and maintenance of highways, municipal waterline systems, etc.

Highlights :
<ul><li>The selected applicant will train to become a Drilling Operator and act as a backup to drillers, while providing general support with geotechnical drilling to facilitate site sampling, analysis, and investigation.
</li><li>Perform a variety of tasks such as inspecting and maintaining drilling equipment and vehicles, logging and packaging samples, gathering appropriate sampling tools, etc.
</li><li>May be exposed to hazardous working conditions and inclement weather.
</li><li>** A valid class A or class B Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License is required. **
</li></ul>Responsibilities :
<ul><li>Operates a hydraulic crane.
</li><li>Utilizes heavy motorized equipment to excavate, backfill, grade, or level soil and aggregate.
</li><li>Utilizes heavy motorized equipment to grade surfaces, roll or compact soil and aggregate.
</li><li>Leads or trains lower-level equipment operators.
</li><li>Assists the Driller in positioning the drilling rig.
</li><li>Adds rods or augers to drill.
</li><li>Removes core samples from the core barrel.
</li><li>Assists in cleaning and maintenance of the drilling rig and related tools and equipment.
</li><li>Installs steel piling in pre-drilled holes.
</li><li>Cleans the drilling site of debris after drilling is completed.
</li><li>Sets and detonates explosive charges for earth removal.
</li><li>Makes major repairs to highways, culverts, bridge structures, etc.
</li><li>Makes minor mechanical repairs in the field such as changing tires, blades, or filters.
</li><li>Responsible for maintaining equipment maintenance including but not limited to cleaning and lubricating equipment and checking fluid levels
</li><li>Other duties as assigned.
 </li></ul>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
<ul><li>Knowledge of safety practices used in structural steel construction.
</li><li>Knowledge of the procedures, techniques and equipment used in the area of assignment.
</li><li>Knowledge of the occupational hazards and applicable safety standards and procedures in the area of assignment.
</li><li>Knowledge of basic blueprint reading.
</li><li>Knowledge of general construction and maintenance practices.
</li><li>Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of gasoline and diesel-powered engines and their components.
</li><li>Knowledge of the operation of motor driven equipment.
</li><li>Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate procedures for repairs.
</li><li>Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
</li><li>Ability to read operation manuals, blueprints, and specifications in the area of assignment.
</li><li>Ability to operate motorized equipment in the area of assignment.
</li><li>Ability to perform skilled trades work in bridge construction and maintenance.
</li><li>Ability to operate and maintain highway equipment and attachments.
</li><li>Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
</li><li>Ability to maintain accurate records of daily maintenance activities.
</li><li>Ability to climb high steel structures.
</li><li>Ability to train and work cooperatively with other skilled and semi-skilled workers.
</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications :
Required Training/Education:
<ul><li>No formal education required.
</li></ul>Required Experience:
<ul><li>(4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, end loaders, dump trucks, drillers, etc.
<ul><li>Equipment Operator Experience Substitutions: Successful completion of an approved vocational school program may be substituted for two (2) year of the required experience in the specified area of assignment.
</li></ul></li><li>** A valid class A or class B Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License is required.** ( no substitutions ).
</li><li>A valid driver&rsquo;s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
