Position Summary</b></div><div></div><div><br>
Under the direction of the Human Resources Lead, the Human Resources Generalist supports a dynamic, mission-driven organization by managing a wide range of HR functions with an emphasis on individual and company licensing, travel and per diem coordination, document retention, TWC responses, and day-to-day HR operations. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</b></div><ul><li>
Company and Employee Licenses<ul><li>
Coordinate and maintain team member and company licensing required for fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression</li><li>
Ensure technicians and inspectors remain compliant with state and local regulations (e.g., Texas State Fire Marshal, NICET, municipal requirements)</li><li>
Track expiration dates, oversee renewals, and organize required CEU documentation</li><li>
Partner with operations and leadership to ensure field personnel meet all credentialing requirements for jobsite access and regulatory compliance</li><li>
Maintain copy of all employee and company state fire marshal licenses in Corporate Services shared drive and a printed copy of all Pearland employee licenses</li><li>
Ensure that all company state fire marshal and state licenses are on display</li></ul></li><li>
Travel &amp; Per Diem Coordination<ul><li>
Schedule and manage travel arrangements for field and project teams, including lodging, flights, rental vehicles, and jobsite travel needs</li><li>
Administer per diem allocations in alignment with company policy and project requirements; ensure accurate and timely reimbursement</li><li>
Maintain organized travel records and support cost-efficient, employee-friendly travel logistics</li></ul></li><li>
Document Retention &amp; Recordkeeping<ul><li>
Maintain compliant and organized HR records, including licensing, training, safety certifications, personnel files, and policy acknowledgments</li><li>
Ensure document retention practices meet industry-specific legal, regulatory, and audit standards</li><li>
Support digital document management initiatives to improve accessibility and accuracy of team member data</li></ul></li><li>
Request for Information Responses<ul><li>
Verification of Employment Responses completed timely</li><li>
Prepare and submit accurate, timely responses to unemployment claims and Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) inquiries</li><li>
Review employment history, performance, and separation documentation to ensure factual and compliant responses</li><li>
Advise leadership on patterns or issues that may impact claims or employment practices</li></ul></li><li>
General HR Support<ul><li>
Maintain company phone list</li><li>
Order and maintain company mobile phones and accessories</li><li>
Mailing annual raise letters</li><li>
Manual benefit entry as necessary</li><li>
Monthly birthday card distribution</li><li>
Annual MVR Checks for all employees; prepare No Drive Letters as necessary</li><li>
Scheduling random drug screenings</li><li>
Plan and execute holiday decorations/snacks for breakroom holiday events</li><li>
Serve as a resource for team members and managers regarding HR policies and company values</li></ul></li><li>
Support Corporate Services team with new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations<ul><li>
Add and Remove employees to Alert Media</li><li>
Shirt orders as needed</li></ul></li><li>
Assist with or arrange for all Pearland office maintenance issues</li><li>
Support Corporate Services and Executive team with special projects, programs and initiatives</li><li>
Other duties as assigned</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Knowledge:</b></div><ul><li>
High School diploma or GED is required</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is preferred equivalent experience considered</li><li>
Familiarity with licensing requirements (NICET, state fire marshal, AHJ permitting) is a plus</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Work Experience:</b></div><ul><li>
Minimum of 5 years Administrative experience</li><li>
2-5 years of HR experience, ideally in construction, trades, field services or Fire &amp; Life Safety industries</li></ul><div><b>
Skills and Competencies:</b></div><ul><li>
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><ul><li>
Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust across diverse roles, including field and technical teams.</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>
ADP WorkforceNow experience is strongly preferred</li><li>
Must have valid state driver's license and good driving record</li></ul></div>
