What You'll Do:

Job Description</h2>
Allied Universal&reg; is hiring a Branch Support Specialist. The Branch Support Specialist is responsible for being the primary contact for branch management for all general benefit issues, resolution of payroll discrepancies, compliance reporting, uniform/equipment management, and unemployment claims. This hands-on position is responsible for branch-level administration. 
Starting pay rate $25.00 per hour 
This is NOT a remote position however candidate can sit at any AUS branch office in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany NY or Hartford CT. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul><li>Maintain employee personnel, medical, and benefit files; maintains branch I-9 files in accordance with company policies and legal policies</li>
<li>Assist Corporate Human Resources with the annual open enrollment process; provide first-line answers to benefit related questions or works with corporate benefits to identify answers for employees</li>
<li>Oversee administration of company uniform program, including sizing, issuance of uniforms, timely return of uniforms, assistance with replacements, and maintaining all paper and electronic files associated with the program</li>
<li>Assist with the workers' compensation claims management by issuing and obtaining claim paperwork, collecting statements, and coordinating with Corporate Human Resources on doctor's notes and return to work programs</li>
<li>Receive initial notices from employees and supervisors for leave of absence requests/needs and coordinates with Corporate LOA department to provide initial information and oversee flow of related paperwork</li>
<li>Maintain post-hire WinTeam data entry; coordinatee with Payroll to ensure changes are completed properly; respond to questions as needed</li>
<li>Receive inquiries from outside vendors on unemployment claims</li>
<li>Under the direction of Corporate Human Resources, conduct HR-related audits on a monthly basis; processes weekly reports</li>
<li>Coordinate employee relations programs under the direction of Corporate Human Resources</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Prior work experience in a professional administrative environment</li>
<li>Able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment</li>
<li>Ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner</li>

What You'll Do:
<ul><li>Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.</li>
<li>Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access or prohibited items.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.</li>
<li>Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and support a secure environment.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and other security-related events as required by site procedures.</li>
<li>Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and management, providing assistance as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.</li>
<li>Remain alert and observant to identify suspicious behavior or circumstances, promptly reporting concerns to site management and/or law enforcement as appropriate.</li></ul>
Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>Customer service experience is preferred.</li>
<li>Access control or badge experience is preferred.</li>
<li>Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.</li>
<li>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.</li>
<li>Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.</li>
<li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.</li>
