The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing HR functions for a 100-employee, family-focused umbrella organization covering more than two distinct employer companies, each with its own set of policies. The primary focus of this role is Talent Acquisition, onboarding, and occasional offboarding &mdash; supporting a steady volume of approximately 2&ndash;3 technician hires per month as well as occasional addition of administrative staff as the company continues to grow</p><p>

Key Responsibilities (in order of priority)</b></h2><ul><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Talent Acquisition &amp; Onboarding</b></h3><ul><li>
Manage full-cycle recruiting for all roles, from job posting to offer letter.</li><li>
Support an ongoing volume of approximately 2&ndash;3 technician hires per month.</li><li>
Partner with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and build quality candidate pipelines.</li><li>
Conduct interviews, reference checks, and evaluate candidate fit for both technical skills and cultural alignment.</li><li>
Personally oversee the onboarding process, new hire paperwork, benefits enrollment, and first-week orientation.</li><li>
Manage occasional offboarding processes with professionalism and care.</li></ul></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Compensation &amp; Benefits Administration</b></h3><ul><li>
Manage salary benchmarking and recommend competitive pay structures.</li><li>
Oversee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, FMLA, and leave programs.</li><li>
Support employees with benefits questions, claims issues, and open enrollment.</li><li>
Partner with leadership on annual compensation planning and budgeting.</li></ul></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
HR Systems &amp; Reporting</b></h3><ul><li>
Maintain the HRIS (payroll, benefits, PTO tracking, evaluations).</li><li>
Manage payroll processing.</li><li>
Create reports and metrics related to turnover, hiring, retention, compliance, and employee satisfaction.</li><li>
Drive process improvements to HR workflows.</li></ul></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Employee Relations &amp; Culture</b></h3><ul><li>
Build strong, trusting relationships with employees at all levels.</li><li>
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution.</li><li>
Coach managers on effective leadership, communication, and performance coaching.</li><li>
Maintain a workplace atmosphere that is safe, supportive, and aligned with company values.</li><li>
Protect confidentiality at all times and act with unquestionable integrity.</li></ul></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Performance Management and Misc</b></h3><ul><li>
Assist managers in writing evaluations and delivering feedback.</li><li>
Track promotions, raises, and employee milestones.</li><li>

Qualifications</b></h2><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Required</b></h3><ul><li>
5+ years of progressive HR experience; open to a strong Generalist ready to step into a Manager-level role.</li><li>
Thorough understanding of employment law (federal and state).</li><li>
Demonstrated track record of discretion, ethical decision-making, and high personal integrity.</li><li>
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Education</b></h3><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred &mdash; but not required with sufficient experience.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Certification</b></h3><ul><li>
SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred. The company is willing to sponsor certification for the right candidate.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Also a Plus</b></h3><ul><li>
Experience in a service-based or technical industry.</li><li>
Background working in a family-owned or family-centric culture.</li><li>
Experience managing HR for a company between 75&ndash;150 employees.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Employment Details</b></h2><ul><li>
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a 90-day contract period.</li><li>
