Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician helps support the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of pharmacy services. This includes assisting with prescription processing, medication inventory, prior authorizations, patient medication records, and other pharmacy support functions that help ensure excellent care for our patients.</p><p>

Essential Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications</li><li>
Support prescription filling and medication processing</li><li>
Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation</li><li>
Coordinate medication prior authorizations with providers, nursing staff, pharmacists, and patients after training</li><li>
Assist with management of the 340B program</li><li>
Maintain pharmacy inventory, rotate stock, monitor expiration dates, and reorder supplies as needed</li><li>
Receive, store, and organize incoming medication and supply deliveries</li><li>
Help ensure medications are properly packaged, labeled, stored, and within expiration dates</li><li>
Process charges for medications and supplies dispensed</li><li>
Manage cash register transactions accurately and responsibly</li><li>
Prepare select reports and medication administration records</li><li>
Obtain medication histories from patients and enter information into the electronic health record after training</li><li>
Deliver medications to patient care areas as needed</li><li>
Fill medication kits or trays and distribute medication orders per pharmacist request</li><li>
Perform unit inspections and help maintain a clean, organized pharmacy department</li><li>
Answer phones and assist with general administrative pharmacy functions</li><li>
Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities</li><li>
Recognize potential dosing concerns and refer questions to the pharmacist</li><li>
Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h2><p><b>
Required:</b></p><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>
Strong communication and customer service skills</li></ul><p><b>
Preferred:</b></p><ul><li>
1+ year of pharmacy technician experience</li><li>
Certified Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Montana (PTCB), or ability to obtain licensure within one year</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Schedule</b></h2><ul><li>
Full-time</li><li>
Typically 40 hours per week</li><li>
Monday-Friday</li><li>
Hours may vary between <b>7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.</b></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
