 Wastexperts is looking for a
 
 Waste Tech
 
 to drive company pick up trucks and other non-CDL vehicles and equipment. We're looking for candidates who take pride in hard work, being a team player, and making a difference in our community.
 
 
 
 
 Waste Tech Driver Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
 
 
 <ul>
 
 <li>
 Operate company vehicles to complete scheduled daily routes.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Practice defensive driving, adhering to all traffic laws, signals, and markings with consideration for the safety of other drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Sort trash, recycling, and compostable materials on-site, adhering to established guidelines.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Manually compact and redistribute the material in bins to optimize space and efficiency.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Sweep and maintain trash enclosures, trash rooms, and trash chutes.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Responsibly utilize equipment and tools to complete work assignments (such as cell phones, waste caddies, tow hitches, compactors, step ladders, etc.)
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Haul bulky items off-site, including furniture, equipment, mattresses, etc.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Identify and safely handle hazardous materials as trained.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Follow all safety protocols and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe, and puncture-resistant boots.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Efficiently complete scheduled routes with attention to start and completion times.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Document services are performed by taking before and after photos as per company procedures.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Communicate effectively with team, management, and relevant departments to report and resolve any issues and ensure service levels and operations are meeting company standards.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Submit all required paperwork and reports.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Report accidents and incidents immediately to the appropriate personnel, following company procedures.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Participate in weekly truck inspections and report any equipment issues promptly.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Build and maintain positive relationships with property managers, maintenance teams, and residents.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Assists with additional duties as needed.
 </li>
 
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Manage daily route assignments by:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 
 <li>
 Noting start and completion times
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Taking before/after photos of services performed
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Communicate with relevant departments to report/resolve issues and maintain a high quality of service
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Submit appropriate paperwork as required to communicate notes and maintain route assignment
 </li>
 
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Waste Tech Shifts:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 
 <li>
 Full Time
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Monday - Friday: 3:30AM start
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Overtime as required
 </li>
 
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Waste Tech Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 
 <li>
 
 Valid non-CDL driver's license and clean driving record
 
 (no major violations in the last 3 years or more than 2 minor violations including handheld device in the last 3 years)
 </li>
 
 <li>
 
 Must have two conservative years of driving in the US
 
 .
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Frequently lift items weighing 80 lbs.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Push/maneuver dumpsters and compactors weighing in excess of 500 lbs.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Stepping in/out of waste containers safely with the use of a ladder as well as climbing several flights of stairs
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Work independently to complete daily assignments
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Work well with others in a team environment
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Strong time management skills
 </li>
