SUMMARY
Performs maintenance, inspection and repair to facilities and general infrastructure including, but not limited to: building, grounds, machinery, vehicles and ground equipment with limited supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Perform building repair and maintenance, including carpentry, drywall, plumbing, minor HVAC and painting tasks.</li><li>
Refresh and remodel workspaces, offices and restrooms; this included the ability to finish drywall, install flooring / carpeting and finishing trim.</li><li>
Perform lawn and landscape improvements and maintenance.</li><li>
Perform preventative maintenance and / or repair tasks relating to vehicles and support equipment including golf carts, forklifts and tractors and mowers.</li><li>
Perform preventative maintenance and / or repair tasks relating to aerospace ground equipment, maintenance stands and industrial machinery.</li><li>
Prepare facilities and grounds for inclement weather; remove water / snow, as needed.</li><li>
Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order.</li><li>
Report any machinery, equipment, and tools that are required for efficient production.</li><li>
Perform inspections of fire extinguishers and related safety equipment.</li><li>
Operate floor scrubber and clean hangar floors as needed.</li><li>
Move heavy furniture, equipment or supplies, manually or using hand-trucks.</li><li>
Set up, arrange or remove decorations, tables, chairs to prepare facilities for events.</li><li>
Fill in for custodial staff as needed; tasks include general cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and garbage collection / removal from restrooms, work areas and office spaces.</li><li>
Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company standards.</li><li>
Ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials and the elimination of wasteful practices within the area.</li><li>
Follow written and verbal instructions.</li><li>
Complete initial / recurrent training requirements in a timely manner.</li><li>
Other duties may be assigned.</li></ul>
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Assist the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Maintenance Lead in providing training and general mentorship to the Facilities Maintenance team.</li></ul>

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.<ul><li>
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent reading, writing and math abilities.</li><li>
5+ years of experience in General / Facilities Maintenance Work.</li><li>
Welding proficiency and experience preferred.</li><li>
Proficient in the use of basic hand tools.</li><li>
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.</li><li>
Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.</li><li>
Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when needed.</li></ul>
LANGUAGE SKILLS<ul><li>
Read, write, and understand the English language.</li></ul>
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS<ul><li>
Ability to obtain a US Department of Transportation examiners certificate, if required.</li></ul>
