Aloft San Jose Cupertino is currently searching for a part time Maintenance Technician (Fridays &amp; Saturdays) to join our growing team.
What you will be responsible for:<ul>
<li>
Perform minor glass, window and mirror repairs.</li>
<li>Perform minor electrical repairs such as lamps, small appliances, removal or placement of telephones, etc.</li>
<li>Perform minor carpentry repairs such as door/window moldings, banisters and furniture as needed.</li>
<li>Perform minor door and lock repairs such as: hinge replacements, replacement of broken locks and maintenance of key inventory, etc. as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain, paint and repair hotel walls as it pertains to: patching of wall boards, wallpapering or painting.</li>
<li>Maintain and repair all floors and floor coverings such as carpets, ceramic tiles, etc.</li>
<li>Perform minor plumbing repairs such as: leaking faucets and valves, etc.</li>
<li>Perform minor repairs to the boiler to include: preventative maintenance checklist, cleaning filters, checking pumps and circulating oil/grease, checking temperature, replacement of couplings and thermostat when necessary, etc.</li>
<li>Maintain and repair hotel equipment such as: vacuums, floor polishers/carpet shampooers, maid carts, etc.</li>
<li>Maintain and repair laundry equipment to include: preventative maintenance checklist for filters, oil and grease motors, etc.</li>
<li>Perform minor repairs to HVAC to include: replacement or repair of switches, fan motors, thermostats, etc.</li>
<li>Maintain supply of parts and repair tools.</li>
<li>Respond to maintenance requests from hotel guests and team members.</li>
<li>Perform general maintenance to Housekeeping equipment.</li>
</ul>
Essential to succeed in this role:<ul>
<li>
Two years prior experience in maintenance/engineering specific to electrical, plumbing and carpentry repair.</li>
<li>Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.</li>
<li>Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.</li>
<li>Must be able to work evenings, weekdays and weekends</li>
<li>Hotel Maintenance experience preferred</li>
</ul>
Desired:<ul>
<li>
Prior guest relations training.</li>
<li>Knowledge of proper equipment usage and repair.</li>
<li>High School graduate or equivalent vocational training.</li>
</ul>

Aloft San Jose Cupertino is currently looking for a General Manager to join our team. As a General Manager, you'll be responsible for providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently, with or without reasonable accommodation.
What you&rsquo;ll do:<ul>
<li>
Coordinate the operation of each individual department and special projects, and identify problems and solutions.</li>
<li>Lead, coach and guide the Executive Committee and Management team</li>
<li>Interview, hire supervise and counsel department managers in the efficient operation of their respective area(s). Meet with, develop and delegate improvement plans for operation and review performance of management team</li>
<li>Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and approve discipline and all terminations.</li>
<li>Participate in community affairs and maintain positive public image for Shashi Group and the hotel. Meet with potential and current clients and promote hotel.</li>
<li>Monthly forecasting of operating staff and cost expenditures</li>
<li>Business planning in line with forecasted sales and costs including guidance to department heads</li>
<li>Monthly P&amp;L review to keep cost and expenses in line</li>
<li>Hands-On Leadership required</li>
</ul>
Who you are:<ul>
<li>
Driven by creating excellent guest experiences</li>
<li>Proven Hospitality leader with the ability build strong relationships</li>
<li>Leader in sales generation</li>
<li>Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint;</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred;</li>
<li>5 years of experience in progressively more complex leadership roles;</li>
<li>Marriott hotel experience a plus;</li>
<li>Clear concise verbal and written communication;</li>
<li>Able to read, interpret, and communicate detailed quantitative data;</li>
<li>Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial calculations;</li>
<li>Schedule Flexibility is a plus.</li>
