Interior Designer &ndash; Renovation Selections (Contract, 1099)Boutique Interior Design Firm, Along Came Lennox &ndash; located in Sonoma, CAWe&rsquo;re a boutique interior design studio based in the heart of Sonoma, CA, specializing in elevated residential renovations and beautiful yet functional interiors. We are looking for a detail-driven, organized, and creatively curious Interior Designer (1099 contractor) to support our team with renovation selections and project execution.This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys the technical + creative balance of renovation work, and is looking for flexible hours within a highly supportive, design-forward team.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist lead designer with renovation selections, including:</li><li>Tile, plumbing, lighting, hardware, countertops, cabinetry finishes, paint colors, flooring, fabrics, and specialty materials</li><li>Ordering samples and maintaining finish libraries</li><li>Prepare design boards, specification sheets, and client-facing presentation materials</li><li>Produce accurate elevations and support design development using Chief Architect, CAD, or similar programs</li><li>Have the ability to create renderings to help communicate design direction</li><li>Support fieldwork including jobsite walk-throughs, measurements, and contractor coordination</li><li>Communicate with vendors for pricing, availability, and lead times</li><li>Maintain organized digital files, Dropbox folders, and spec documents</li><li>Participate in weekly team meetings (virtual + in-office)</li><li>Assist with styling days, photoshoots, and install logistics as needed</li><li>Contribute to a small-but-mighty team, bringing a collaborative spirit, positive energy, and proactive engagement</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>1&ndash;3+ years experience in interior design, residential renovations, or related field</li><li>Skilled in Chief Architect, CAD, SketchUp or similar design software (must be able to produce elevations; renderings a plus)</li><li>Strong understanding of materials, finish schedules, and construction terminology</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset</li><li>Ability to work independently with strong follow-through</li><li>Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented</li><li>Reliable transportation for site visits and vendor appointments</li></ul>Work Structure<ul><li>1099 contractor role</li><li>30&ndash;35 hours per week</li><li>Flexible hours with the ability to work from home</li><li>2 in-office days per week (Sonoma, CA)</li><li>Occasional local travel required for site visits, sourcing, and project check-ins</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Competitive hourly rate based on experience</li><li>Opportunity to grow with a small, high-touch design firm</li></ul>To ApplyPlease send your resume, portfolio (PDF or link), and a brief note about why you&rsquo;re a fit for this role to AlongCameLennox@gmail.com.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, ContractPay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sonoma, CA 95476
