This detail-oriented professional plays a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting cross-departmental collaboration, and maintaining compliance with internal policies. Strong technical skills in accounting systems and financial reporting, combined with a collaborative mindset, are essential for success in this role.Essential Responsibilities and Duties<ul><li>Post all operating checks to QuickBooks Online in compliance with internal policies and procedures.</li><li>Record weekly earnings in the operating book as provided by the Trust Accounting team.</li><li>Post all deposits and charges related to the operating accounts.</li><li>Reconcile checking and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Process payroll reports and categorize appropriately across various accounts.</li><li>Reconcile expenses reported through the Clyr platform for consistency.</li><li>Collaborate closely with the Accounts Payable Administrator to ensure timely payment and proper recording of bills in QuickBooks Online.</li><li>Assist with the monthly preparation of financial statements.</li><li>Maintain updated assignments, projects, and priorities as directed by the manager.</li><li>Undertake additional accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities as required.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>At least 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping</li><li>Strong foundation of accounting and bookkeeping skills.</li><li>Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, preferred.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills to balance multiple tasks and projects.</li><li>Collaborative, team-oriented mindset to foster effective cross-departmental communication.</li><li>Problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to challenges.</li><li>Experience in processing large amounts of data and use of pivot tables.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI or LookerStudio) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Meet, Google Chat, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drive, Google Forms).</li><li>Experience working with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online).</li><li>Experience with financial reporting tools and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Fathom).</li><li>Experience with project management tools and software (Monday.com, Jira).</li><li>Understanding of CRM platforms (Salesforce, Litify).</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.</li></ul>Key Performance Indicators<ul><li>100% of operating transactions recorded within 2 business days</li><li>Bank and credit card accounts reconciled by the 5th business day of each month</li><li>Payroll reports processed and categorized with 98% accuracy each pay cycle</li><li>Clyr platform expense reconciliations completed weekly with zero backlogs</li><li>100% of bills recorded in QuickBooks within 24 hours of receipt from AP Administrator</li><li>Monthly financial statements prepared and submitted by internal deadline</li><li>Maintain &le;2% error rate in data entry and reconciliations</li><li>Respond to cross-departmental accounting requests within 1 business day</li><li>Update project/task tracker (e.g., Monday.com) weekly with 100% task status accuracy</li><li>Participate in and complete at least 1 financial process improvement initiative per quarter</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Full-Time stateside</li><li>Remote</li><li>Collaborative, mission-work-driven culture with a fast-paced startup dynamic.</li></ul>Salary and Benefits<ul><li>Salary Rate: $ 40k-80k</li><li>Benefits:</li><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Application ProcessYou may apply to our career page:Physical DemandsThis position primarily involves sedentary work, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and other office equipment.
